Day of love

This morning Kennedy woke up early

She said "Mommy I'm cold can I get warm in your bed?"

Like I'm going to say no

My little girl climbed into bed and cuddled up against my back with her arm wrapped around me as shes wearing her footie jammies

Aww!

Shes growing up so fast and I just cherish those moments she wants to cuddle and do those little baby things still.

We slept for a while and she woke up.

The first words out of her mouth were

"mom can I have my two vitamins now?"

I said don't you want to come back and cuddle some more with me?

Her reply was

"Mom Ive cuddled with you enough for one day. Can I have my vitamins now?"

She colored a very pretty picture for me and surprised me with it.

Kennedy told me "I have a surprise that will make you so very very happy with me! I colored a picture for you and I colored slow and used red and two colors of green. One dark green and one light green and yellow and orange!"

She is over the phase where she hates coloring.

I was so proud of her we hung it on the fridge

She decided it wasn't colorful enough so she added more colors while I was cooking lunch

While cooking she came over and gave me a big hug and said Thank you mom for all these wonderful Christmas decorations here! They look so pretty and make me so very happy!

She just makes my entire day!!

Decorations

This weekend Kennedy and I decorated our apartment

We didnt have any decorations at all

All the stockings and everything were at the old house so we made a little trip to the store!

When we went outside Bert had set up hers outside

Kennedy was so excited!

Look mom there is a horse!

And it moves!

Theres another horse!

We decorated our little 4ft Christmas tree and plugged it in

She was so overjoyed by this

Kennedy gave me a big hug and said

 "I love you mom! This is the best Christmas I've ever had!!!"

She was so happy about the tree I put lights on her headboard and mine

She begged me to let her sleep on the couch because she was SURE that Santa was coming that night

Positive

She begged and pleaded to stay on the couch

I being the mean mom made her sleep in her bed

The only thing that got her into there was the fact she had lights on her bed and I'd let her keep them on while she slept

Shes already started asking every single day if its Christmas yet because shes wishing its Christmas

Happy Feet 2

My mom was brave enough to take Parker, Kennedy and Kinlie to Happy Feet 2 all by herself!

The movie was in 3D

They all wore their glasses the entire time and behaved

I packed some some pink popcorn in a zip lock bag for Kennedy because she only eats pink popcorn

No yellow

Only pink

Thanks mom for taking them all

There is someone I haven't blogged about yet

My friend CW

I had the opportunity to go out to his going away family Thanksgiving (on the 21st) dinner last week.

He just joined the Air Force

His family is awesome!

They were so sweet and so fun!

I had an absolute blast!

Since he was going to be gone for Thanksgiving that was the theme for the dinner

While we were at his house one of his relatives who is a professional handwriting analyst analyzed my handwriting

It was so interesting!!

I had to write my name and then write a sentence

Then he started looking at my handwriting in front of the whole family

The first thing he said was wow!

Hmmm..

Wow!

He asked me if I played sports when I was younger.

I said yes soccer.

He asked if I did a lot of physical things

Again yes

Then he said that I was very honest

Honesty showed strongly through there and there was so much he wanted to shake my hand because I was a very honest person.

He said Im very optimistic. Im analytical. I take my time to think through situations and dont just react

But I am able to make quick split second decisions when needed.

I have very strong intuition and a very strong mothers intuition.

My mind rules my heart and my heart rules my life.

Im stubborn and not to piss me off lol

That my heart is very guarded right now and Im trying to get over a hurt in my past.

That Im a little bit of a procrastinator.

My self confidence could use some work

I need to make my goals bigger in life and make them more long term but its going to take some work.

He kept talking about how he liked what he saw and I had great fluidity

I had never met this man in my life before

He didnt know a single thing about me

CW hadnt talked to him about me at all before

All this just from how I write!

Since CW was going to be gone for Christmas he even bought Kennedy and I presents!

When we went to the movies not long ago he bought her a kids pack with popcorn

She refused to eat it because she doesnt like yellow popcorn.

She only likes PINK popcorn

He'd bought her a big tub of PINK popcorn and a princess coloring book and crayons

How sweet

Two days later he was sworn into the Air Force and left for Texas!

Black Friday

Barton girls do Black Friday differently

We go away form all the people.. or so we thought!

We went out west to go hunting and there ended up being a ton of people out there

Zack and I

We had to bundle up good

Then out came the big guns!!

Zack let liz shoot and and carry his Ar-15

She is in heaven

We both decided we NEED a pink one!

Liz and I found a big rock in the middle of some salt flats and hiked up to the top

That tiny dot on top is us!

Dads 50th!

The day after Thanksgiving my Dad turned 50!

I cant believe it!

He seems so young to me still!

Happy Birthday Dad!!

Thanks for all you do for us!

Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving my Dad and Elysha both had to work.

So for Turkey Day we went down to the Station and had dinner with all the firemen and their families came in also.

We couldnt take any pictures there but I took one of all the yummy food!!

Dinner was fabulous!

Firemen are such good cooks!!

Thats all we had planned for the day

Kennedy and Kinlie were both with their Dads

Liz and I went muddin in the mountians with Zack that night for something to do

Then we went for a hike

We climbed up a big rocky hill

Thanksgiving was such a fun day!

November Duck Hunt

This Saturday my dad took me out duck hunting

The weather was perfect!

It had been snowing all night long

The skies were clear

A coot in front of us

Tug being obedient

We drove the boat right up into some reeds so our feet stayed warm! 

The ducks weren't coming in very much at first

Dad had been out there Wednesday and limited out in about 2 hours

We went for a walk down to a place where they had jumped some up then

We didn't see any that had set in but a bunch finally started coming in

We missed a bunch of ducks!

We were able to get some but neither one of us were shooting too good!

Dad let me drive the boat on the way out

We did get six ducks

Great day hunting with my dad!

Family day

Today my parents, Liz, Kathy and Dennis Gay were at the meat shop down below (where I live) and were cutting up a beef all day.

Kinlie was there too.

She came up and played with Kennedy for a while

I needed to go to Winco to get some stuff for our Greek night tonight

I took both little kiddos with me.

Kennedy and Kinlie are so cute together

Both had to wear their cowgirl hats

I love these pictures because none of them are staged they're all just how they interact with each other

We got to the store and they had to ride on the cart

And then of course we were in the store 2 seconds and they both had to go to the bathroom

They sat and laughed and laughed and laughed at the hand dryers in there

We got into the checkout and they both told the cashier they lived on a farm

They had pigs, cows, horses, chickens etc and they were cowgirl princesses who lived on a farm

They were trotting on the pop as they were in the cart.

They finished cutting up the beef and it was time for Greek night!!

My dad made pheasant souvlaki with the birds from our last hunt.

It was fabulous!!!

I also made up my own recipe for tzatziki

It was amazing if I do say!!

I didnt get a chance to eat with everyone because I had to go to work and took it all to go!

Disney on Ice

My awesome friend Hailey found some half price tickets on TravelZoo for Disney on Ice for Friday night

We decided we had to take Kennedy and Brooklyn (her niece) especially with such a discount!

I didn't tell Kennedy where we were going

Just that I had a surprise for her

I dressed her up in her Rapunzel outfit

Bought them some hair crowns

Glow wands (from the dollar store.. not spending 15 bucks there for a dang glow wand!)

and regular wands for them

We picked up Brooklyn from her day care, got the girls some McDonald's and headed for Salt Lake

We had a Snow White dress for Brooklyn

When we first picked up Brooklyn she wouldn't even talk

Shes so super super shy

She wouldn't even answer what she wanted at McDonald's

Finally by this time she started talking

Finally the show started!!!

They were so happy!

There were so many characters we saw!!

These were only about half of everything we saw

All the princesses!

The show was actually really good!
I even enjoyed it

The girls LOVED it!

It was a little too much excitement for Kennedy

She crashed hard on the way home

It was a whole 7pm
