The Weekend

This weekend was full of fun

Kerri, Me and Kandace went out for a little bit on Saturday night after I got off work

On Sunday Zack and I went shooting

It was cold but fun!

I was teasing him I looked like the unibomber

We found a sink on the way up there

Ha really we did

It was on the side of the trail

We had some exploding targets (yes totally legal)

We were shooting them at about 120 yards

They are smaller than the size of a pop can

Zack was shooting them with his AR

I love this gun!

And I was using my baby

My blonde stock Browning 270

It was cold and windy so we shot out of the back of the truck

After that was the FIRST CALLS DRIVE IN of the season

MMMMMM

Kennedy came back from being with her dad for the weekend later on Sunday

She has been wanting some My Little Ponies so bad

Especially Rainbow Dashes Campout

I found one and had it sitting on her bed waiting for her

She was so happy

Started jumping up and down and hugging it

Kennedy and I spent the day cleaning and cooking and doing laundry

We made a smoked trout cheeseball with a hint of dill and green onion

Even Kennedy loved it!!

PreSchool Day with Hailey

Outside looked like this

Parker came down to play

He wanted to wear a headband too with a pretty flower!

He cant be left out!

We had to pick up Hailey and Raleigh for a play date at her parents house!

Haileys parents were nice enough to let us come over and play so Hailey could try out some of her preschool lesson plans on the kids

I secretly think her parents liked having 'grandkids' in the house too!

Haileys parents are super sweet!

Then it was time for Oobleck

Id never heard of this stuff before and it was crazy!!

Its from a Dr Suess book and its only corn starch and water!

Kennedy was flicking some of it on Hailey lol

We were talking about the name of it and I think Haileys dad nailed it!

He said I bet the name comes from the reaction because when I stuck my hand in there I though ew! bleck!

The kids were bored by this point and didnt want to put their hands in the gooo!!!

So you know what that meant

Free for all for Hailey and I!!!

Its so crazy

Its a liquid but as soon as any sort of force is applied it becomes a solid

All Parker and Kennedy wanted to do was go downstairs and play with the toys

We may have had to bust out the air hockey table

It was like a flashback

Mr Potato Head, Polly Pockets, Pogs, Jurrasic Park

Then it was time for the last lesson

Making bubble wands out of pipe cleaners!

We finished the fun afternoon off with getting ice cream and fries at Kirts Drive in

While we waited for our food we made bracelets out of pipe cleaners and beads

Such a fun day!

Time Out

Kennedy told a lie the other day about eating all of her food

I caught her in the lie so guess what she did

She walked herself right into our room and put herself in time out!

She went and curled up in her bed and layed there

She might have been a little tired!

Valentines Day

Kennedy is the best Valentine I could ask for!

She loves me no matter what and makes my world complete!

For V-Day this year Kennedy got a new Charlie Brown Valentines day movie

a box of chocolates

AND a pink heart necklace with matching earrings

Think she liked the necklace!

This kid just cracks me up when she sleeps

She crashed in my bed and I woke up and she had two different blankets wrapped around her

and a pillow over her face

And she can fall asleep anywhere

She was cuddling her slipper

Play date W Parker

The day before Valentines Day Kennedy and I got the best present ever!!

Parker came over with a balloon, box of chocolates and a marshmellow for us!

He picked them out all on his own

Hes so sweet and wanted us to make sure we got Valentines Day presents!

We needed to make a trip to Walmart

They wanted to push the cart

It got a little tiring and the puppies needed to take a nap

Silly kids just make me laugh!

Aunt Jessie MAY have had to stop to get them ice cream on the way home.

Kennedy wanted to look like Santa

When we got home we made some pizzas!

They got to make their very own

Put whatever they wanted on it

After a hard day of playing and eating it was time for a horse ride

Its so nice that Kennedys cousins live so close and she gets to play with them so much!

Ive not felt much like blogging lately. Had too many things going on and kind of just simplified and focused on all the really fundamental things for a min so my blogging took a back seat!

No worries though I took pictures and its time to catch up!

Im not really going to go into detail about the last while

I know shocking Im sure!

But now here are some catch up picts!

Kennedy got to spend some play time w PKR while I had a work meeting

She was so happy to get to go play!

Because of some things Kennedy was EXTRA mom clingy

She wouldnt let me out of her sight and if I was sitting she was on me

It was kinda cute

Parkers Grandpa has this game he has the grand kids play

Its HILARIOUS to watch and Pkr thought it was so funny

His Grandpa yells out ROCK and all the kids drop to the floor and act like a rock

Parker does good and then he starts giggling and saying hes the best rock ever

Kennedy starts giggling then too

They kept yelling rock and dropping to the floor and then laughing as hard as they can

Elysha has 2 huge fish tanks in their basement

She was feeding the fish through a little hole in the top of the tank

They'd circle it and then just attack the little food pellets

I wanted to stick my finger in there to see if they'd bite me too

Ive never been bit by a fish and thought it would be fun haha

It took me forever to get the courage to actually keep my finger in there as I watched the fish eyeballing it and sneaking up on it

I'd  usually scream and pull my finger out

Finally I let it bite me and I just laughed

It didnt hurt at all

Kennedy went on her first Front Runner ride

My work schedule is a little different right now so my parents have been helping out and having to watch her for me

They went down to the Sportsmans Expo and rode the train

She loved it!

Responsibility

Life doesn't always come with easy choices

Sometimes it comes down to doing whats right

No matter how hard it is

No matter how much it hurts

When things get to a point you cant ignore the choice anymore and have to choose

The right choice isn't always the easiest one

But that's what helps us build character and develop

Making the right choice when we are not only looking out for ourselves but others makes it even more difficult

I am not out to please others

I will never make everyone happy

That's fine with me

Take me as I am or leave me

If you cant trust in my ability to do whats right and protect what I can there's no place for you in my life

The choices I have had to make this week have been hard

Regardless of what anyone might think it was not easy

But I know I made the right choice

Those who know stand behind me and that's all I need

I have peace with my decision

I know what my priorities are

I know who is most important to me in life

And I will always do my best to make the right decisions for her

That's my job

She is my world and I will protect her with every ounce of my being

Life doesn't always come with easy choices
