Cabin

Thursday night Chris Kennedy and I went up to his family's cabin in the area of Hardware

They have a 40 acre lot

On the way up we saw a bull moose, a few antelope, a cow elk, a few buck deer with little velvet nubbies, a few doe and of course a bunch of sheep and moo cows!

That night we tucked Kennedy into the loft full of beds and we watched a movie downstairs on the couch

A VHS movie

It was so nice but cute to sit on an old couch, watch a VHS movie on a 14 inch tv being ran by a generator

We slept at the cabin and the next morning Chris made us breakfast and we went out four wheeling

The weather was warm and sunny! 

He showed us around the property then we headed down some of the trails at Hardware

Kennedy fell asleep on the back of the four wheeler

We went back to the cabin for lunch

Chris hates his picture taken

I just laugh because he doesnt have a choice with me

So sometimes I get fabulous pictures like this one of him with his mouth full

We took a nap and headed home

It was a nice break! 

Chris went out for a guys night with the boys

I went out to see Magic Mike with the girls

And Kennedy went with Chris's sister Ashley and her hubby Derek to his moms and step dads house in Taylorsville for fireworks and fun!

Archers

Last week was the World Archery Cup

My mom was a VIP guide for Juan from Costa Rica

We had a BBQ one night at the outdoor range

She also brought Tobin from Denmark

Tobin was a crack up!

They were a lot of fun

Kennedys Adventures

I have some of the best friends ever

They have been helping me out a ton with babysitting while I work

Kennedy sure has been reaping the benefits of it!!!

That kid has done SO much lately!

From the jumbo water slide, the pool, science experiments, playing musical instruments, mudbaths

Taking dogs for walks, playing with Brooklyn, coloring with chalk, making cupcakes, watching movies, playing in the sand and on and on and on!

North Shore

I finally had some free time where we could go to the pool!

I was watching Saritas boys Alex and Braxton so I enlisted Hailey to come help!

MarDee and her kids met us there too

It was such a perfect day!

Kennedys first river trip

Kennedy took her first trip out on the Bear River for fishing

SHE LOVED being in the boat

The weather was nice and sunny but it was SO windy

We didnt get anything

On the way back Chris let her drive the boat

She told him she had so much fun and wants to go back out again

Wedding

Zacks sister Sha'la got married the other day

They had a very nice reception in his parents back yard

Kennedy was hamming it up for pictures!

She had to have one with Zack

and one with Zack and Erin

Then there's Zack and his brother Zeb

And Zack and his gf Melissa

Raptors Game

Mom and Dad have season tickets to the Raptors baseball game

The seats were fabulous!

The weather was a little cooler

Raptors played great!

Kennedys first official hair cut

About two weeks ago Kennedy had her first real haircut

It was a hard moment for mom!

Shes never had enough hair to really have it done before

She was so excited

I cant believe how much more grown up she looks

Bonfire at Zacks

Parkers Bday

Parker turned 4 on June 6th

The kiddos all went to Kangaroo Zoo to go play

Then headed back to the Dixon home for cake and ice cream!

Parker got this sweet car for his bday

He loves to cruise around in it

East Canyon

The first week of June my parents spent a week up at East Canyon

Kennedy and I went up a few times

Dad took us out fishing once

Kennedy hiked around and we didnt catch very many fish

The next time we went up for an evening

Dad and I went out fishing while Kennedy went swimming with grandma

We made a night of it

Talked Zack into coming up on the motorcycle

My dad sister Kim and her daughter Tyler came up also

Cooked up burgers and brats

some homemade applesauce

enjoyed the nice weather and then we headed home

Garland Salmon Bake

Kennedy and I went to our first Salmon Bake in Garland with Chris and his family

Its a fundraiser for Garland fire dept

Chris's family goes all the time but this was the first year Kennedy and I ever had

The food was FABULOUS!!!
WOW!

Salmon was wonderful

They had this amazing butter sauce mmmmm

Its all you can eat salmon too

So if you finish you just hold up your hand and someone comes around and tops off your plate with salmon or sauce

They went through over 3000 lbs of salmon!!!!!

Fishing Fishing Fishing

We have been doing a TON of fishing lately!

Chris is starting to really like it :)

He wasn't a big fisherman before he met us and we've changed his mind a little bit

We have been going on the river, Honeyville Pond and East Canyon

Kennedy loves fishing..she just has a short attention span 

Play day with Hailey

Hailey needed to do another preschool project and needed a kid to borrow

She came over and her and Kennedy made playdough

They had so much fun!

We decided to have a picnic outside and enjoy the sunshine

Colored with chalk and Kennedy threw glitter jewels all over the ground lol

I ended up having to vacuum them up

Arb-Q

My parents threw an Arb-Q again

For those of you new people its an Archery BBQ

Complete with enough food to make you sick

Rendezvous

The end of May we went up to the Rendezvous  in Blacksmith Fork

A group of our friends always go up there, from the Willow Creek Free Trappers

We stopped in and said hi to Wapatai, Bears Butt, Bones, Dry Dog, and a few others

I love seeing all the handmade stuff they have for sale

Kennedy got her face painted

We bough some homemade rootbeer and then the weather turned NASTY!

The wind and rain came in

We left there and headed up to Chris's families cabin at Hardware 

Bday!

Oh my gosh Im back!!!!

Blogging has been blocked at work for a minute and Ive fallen so far behind!! Its time to do over a months worth of catch up!

The actual day of my bday we came home early because of the weather

Chris was sent out to a grass fire out at Promontory so we had to hurry and do birthday stuff and skip what we had for the night. 

He bought me a .17 rifle

Id been wanting one so bad!!!

Mom made me a cake

and my parents bought me a new pan set

And Kennedy kept finding random toys in the house and wrapping them up in blankets to give me

It was so cute

I had a great birthday!

Birthday Campout

May 24th we headed to Haileys families land in Idaho for a Bday camp out for me!

The weather held out for us that night and no rain

We spent all night by the fire eating, laughing and having fun

Chris backed his truck up and played music

The next morning we woke up WAY too early for camping

The weather sucked

I made breakfast burritos and by the time we finished eating the skies had really turned dark!

We decided it was best to pack up camp and head home

We finished getting everything loaded up right as the rain hit

Kennedy was out before we even left Paris!
