Nov 25th was dads 51st birthday 

He spent all day at the archery range for a shoot

Mom had Elysha take him a cake there

Todd and Jana invited dad over for Sunday dinner and got him a birthday cake

We all sang to him

Chris had spent the day getting their front yard all set up with Christmas decorations

and then painted goose decoys into swan decoys so dad could use them the next day

He did a pretty good job!! 

I was impressed

Happy birthday dad!

Swan Hunt

On all these duck hunting adventures we also have been looking for swans

I have a swan tag and have never got one before

This morning we got up nice and early and headed out to a new section of the bird refuge where we hadnt hunted before

It was an eventful morning

Cold as hell

Hunter fell in the water walking and soaked himself

We made it to our spot and set up some decoys, pulled up the blind and waited

Kennedy under the blind with the propane heater going

She was toasty warm and kept pulling off layers while she sipped on her thermos of hot chocolate

Again another absolutely gorgeous sunrise on the water

Having some hot chocolate to keep warm

Kennedy of course was asleep before sunrise

She had some cocoa, a rice crispy and she was done

She went to the front of the boat, we made her a bed and piled coats and blankets on her

We've learned to take a blanket hunting with us for her but I always get worried that she will get cold.. even with 12 layers on and everything else so I piled all the extras on her

We got one duck

A teal that swam into our decoys

The ducks were not flying

I did end up getting a swan!

My very first swan ever

AND yes Kennedy slept right through it

She was surprised when she woke up and saw what was in the boat

It was bigger than she was

Black Friday

Thanksgiving we went to Chris's grandparents house

Stuffed ourselves with amazing food

Took family pictures

Visited my dad at the station

Took him some pies

And hung out at home cuddled up on the couch watching movies

Friday morning Chris went to the pheasant club with my dad

He's learning how to use my dads dogs and guide up there

Kennedy and I went Black Friday shopping with Jana, Todd and Hunter

Kennedy was so excited ha

We went to Cal Ranch.. hardly and people

Sportsmans warehouse.. hardly any people

Had to stop at Target so Grandma and Grandpa could get Kennedy a movie to watch in the Caddy.. shes spoiled

We went to Larrys Spring Chicken Inn for breakfast then waited for Browning to open

Browning had the most mayhem out of all the places we went and it still wasnt bad

I got the things I needed for Chris there and we were done by 1030!

We all went and took a nap then went out duck hunting

SOMEONE .. or SOME TWO I should say spoiled me and got me an early birthday present.. that I had to use now.. for duck hunting

I got a nice new Dirty Bird Browning duck coat.. so of course we had to try it out

Kennedy wanted to stay with Grandma Jana so the boys and I went

Todd, Hunter, and Chris

Hunter went off one way

Chris walked off another

Todd and I stayed at the boat

It was DEAD

Nothing was flying at all

However the sunset was gorgeous though

I drove us home off into the sunset

Seriously look at those colors

Arent they amazing

The water was as smooth as glass 

They reflected off them perfectly

After that it was time to go to my dads

Give him his bday present

Eat some dinner

Go home and set up our tree

Yay for our very first Christmas Tree!

Kennedy hung out ONE ornament on there

It was one Hailey gave us last year and Kennedy has treasured

Newspaper, pies and Jalapenos

Mom made the Box Elder News Journal!

Fuel has finally dropped some

For a date night Chris wanted to play Wii

We had a fun night of bowling and baseball

I made a bunch of pies for Thanksgiving

Chocolate cheesecake mousse.. amazing!

Two pecan pies

Banana cream and a coconut banana cream

I also made a whiskey cream sauce for the pecan pies

The sauce is one can of sweet and condensed milk, about a cup of Irish Cream, a little bit of milk, 1/4 cup karo syrup and some cinnamon

Mix into a sauce pan and bring to a boil

I started canning while Chris was at fire drill

He came  home and scratched his belly

I noticed something different so I made him lift up his shirt

I started laughing

They had tests done for drill to do a check up and he didnt want to pull them off because he was afraid they'd stick in his hair and hurt so he was going to leave them on until he got in the shower

Well that's karma for you

I started putting together our new food processor

I was SETTING it up and putting the slicing blade in when it attacked me

No it wasn't plugged in or anything like that

Just setting the blade in there it sliced my thumb deep

I had to get some gauze and tape it up because a band aid wasn't enough

I had to dig into our medical bags trying to find tape

Couldn't find any

Had to use scotch tape and Chris banned me from the food processor

Well he was trying to get it to start and asked me to grab one of the parts for it

I went to move another part that was still in the bag.. and wrapped in plastic

It CUT ME!
Through the bag, through the styrofoam, through my glove and into my finger

All I did was pick it up!

So by this point Im banned from the processor for life

Chris pretty much finished up the peppers

I got to stuff the jars and watch

He did his first canning :)

Eric Church

Last night Chris, JaNeale, Jimmy and I went to the Eric Church concert at the Maverik center

When we got there it was slightly raining and this was the lines to get inside for those who HAD tickets

It took us a good 15 minutes to get in the doors

It was crazy!

The first opening act was Kip Moore

He came out and hopped over the barricades and walked down one of the seating areas

We were only 12 rows up from where he was but it looks a lot further away

JaNeale and bought matching shirts

Not on purposes

We just liked the same ones!

On the front they say 

"Good girls never miss Church" with little devil horns on the word church

and on the back they have angel wings and say Eric Church

Chris and his mom got a few drinks lol

Somehow people kept giving him free beers

The next act was Justin Moore

He was just as awesome too

He played a new song called Guns I hadnt heard before and I fell in love with the lyrics

He did really good at getting the crowd going and had everyone pull out their phones

We were laughing, singing and dancing

Eric Church was AWESOME

One of the best concerts I have been to

Great energy

We danced and sang the whole time

Plus his backgrounds and lighting's were pretty cool

I mean he had fire coming out of kegs!

One of the last songs he sang was These Boots

Everyone in the crowd took off one boot and held it up

It was such a fun night!

We didnt get home until 1 am!!

We are old, normally we are in bed by 8-830 ha so it was a late night for us but so worth it
