Trampoline

While Kennedy was down having her weekend at Grandma JaNeals we bought a trampoline. One of the ladies in Willard was selling it for $65 bucks! Score! Plus we bought a net to go around it off KSL.com for $50 I just haven't had a chance to set it up yet. I couldn't pass up a deal like that! Kennedy has loved it. Thats all she wants to do. She gets ready early in the morning so she can jump before school and its the first thing she wants to do when she gets home!
Every time shes out there Gypsy lays at the edge of the tramp and stands guard

Weekend at Grandmas and Disney on Ice

This weekend Kennedy went down to JaNeale and Jimmys house for a weekend of fun! She has been asking for a Grandma weekend forever and finally schedules worked out. It was just her Friday night. Chris and I fought RIDICULOUS rush hour traffic and an accident to drop her off on time. That night her, Hunter and JaNeale went to see the Utah Utes female gymnastics team compete. She even got a new Utah Utes shirt to wear. Kennedy loved it!
She also got to play Grandpa Jimmys drums. She loves drumming and is actually pretty good at it. Not just anyone gets to play his drums.
Saturday afternoon Rylee came down to join them. They had a special surprise Saturday night they knew nothing about....
Grandma got them tickets to Disney on Ice! She also bought Miss K and Rybug new matching outfits for the show.

The girls were so excited! Kennedy LOVES Disney on Ice. This time it was all original characters.
The girls also got their faces painted

and with face paint you have to have light up wands!
Im not sure who had more fun Grandma JaNeale or the girls!
 Their after party
Kennedy had a great weekend. She even came home with a bag full of new summer clothes. Shes one lucky girl to get spoiled by so many Grandparents!

Gypsy's car accident.

Monday afternoon I came home sick from work. I had that nasty sinus bug that was kicking my butt! I checked on the dogs in the backyard like I do every time I come home, started a fire, took some Nyquil and went to sleep! A little while later in the middle of my fabulous drug induce coma Chris called and said someone had posted a dog on Facebook that was in their yard that looked like one of ours. UGH. I went out to check and sure enough Gypsy was gone and there was a big hole dug in her kennel. We used to have her in with Rue but she dug out of her kennel too easy so we put her in with Shooter. She liked being in with him and hadn't dug out of there in the last while.  The people who posted her are just across the highway from us. I got in the car and headed over there. Right before I got to her, like 30 seconds before, she got hit by a car. It was a good thing I drove across the highway because now she was hurt and somehow had taken off her collar also. I put her in the car and took her home to look her over. Her back leg was a little cut up and it looked like her pelvis might have been broken. Her right back leg was dangling funny. Mom and I decided to take her to the vet to see if it was broken or what had happened. Gypsy is half my dads and half Chris's dog. Of course both of them were at work.
She is a tiny dog. She looks like she never eats! She has a kennel with an automatic hopper and still is so small for being 9 months. We keep hoping she will bulk up soon! She was bought to be a breed dog so we were really concerned on whether her hip/pelvis area was broken or if it was just out of socket.
After a quick xray they showed us that her hip was dislocated.  The tendon wasnt broke and he didnt see any fractures anywhere in her pelvis region or in her leg. We have no idea how fast the car was going that hit her they didnt stop. Its just a lucky thing she is so small or it could have been worse!
They told us they needed to keep her for a while and sedate her to pop her hip back in. We left and they said they would call when she was done. After an hour or so we hadnt heard from them and Chris was home. We had to run into town anyways so we stopped to visit her. They said they needed to wait until her shock wore off before they could sedate her.
They finally got to her later that night and she spent the night at the vets. We picked her up that next afternooon. She has staples in her one leg and has to keep the other wrapped up like this for 3 weeks. They said it needs to stay dry so she gets to live inside for a while. She hates being inside! We let her out when we go outside and she runs around great on 3 legs.
She has been getting a lot of extra loving though! I found Miss K singing her a song and cuddling her before school on Thursday

Kennedys school, Fire drill, Old Grist Mill, Kennel Redo

Briggs and I hanging out on card night. He likes to snuggle with me.
Chris has worked hard and earned his Wildland Firefighter II certification
Kennedy wrote a story for school
My Uncle Zack and me like to hike but we cant slip. So we ride the four wheeler instead. My Uncle Zeb and I like to fish but he says dont fall in.
Briggs was blessed last Sunday. I had to work and couldnt go but Ash sent me a picture of him all dressed up. Hes so stinking cute!
Our scores from the Golden Spike shoot came in. Chris had been so excited because he had beat his dad by 2 points. Well when they flighted the mens class those two points put Chris in the bottom of his flight and his dad in the money and 1st place in the top of the 3rd flight!
Not many girls money shoot.  A lot will shoot but not compete in our class. Female Bowhunter FreeStyle. I was a little disappointed to see only 3 of us money shot! But hey I placed 3rd....out of 3 lol!

We had a a record number of shooters show up! Just over 430! Last year we had 350! Great improvement and I heard so many wonderful things about the shoot form all those who went through our course.

This is what happens when Kennedy comes to drill with me. She takes a bunch of pictures!

She earned a Superstar Student Award and school that is good for a free game of bowling. We are so proud of her!
This week one day I had the gym to myself for a little bit. It was so nice! I have been sick with that nasty horrible sinus congestion crap going around and my first day back to the gym about killed me. I was dying. BUT for not working out over a week I am down 5 lbs woo woo!
It was time to get serious about weights! I used to be able to do almost 600 lbs on this dang thing.
I bought Kennedy some new clothes since she once again has outgrown everything. I had to buy her size 12 jeans and they are SOO long on her. She has almost a foot of excess on the bottom. I told her I bought her new clothes and she said "Oooohh are they new hunting clothes!???"
Friday Kennedy didnt have school for teacher prep day. We ran errands and when we were at Walmart Ash called and asked if we wanted to meet at Old Grist Mill for lunch in a few minutes. It was perfect since we were right there.

That wasnt enough time for RyBug and Miss K to play so Ry NEEDED to come home with us while Briggs and Ash went to his Drs appointment. They played inside. They played outside. They played back inside and made a fort in the living room. They packed bags full of books and went camping in the wood shed.

While they were playing we were working on making a gate for our backyard. Since we first moved in Ive been wanting a gate in this little alleyway between the garage and house. Its not very big and not really easy to attach a gate too. With Gypsy getting out we decided it was time to make one.
I love that my hubby is so handy. He can make anything he even halfway tries to. He took some old barn wood we have in a pile in the backyard and turned it into a gate.
We started with just open slats and I liked being able to still see through it but we decided the dogs could probably slip through there still so we added more slats on the other side.
 The finished gate
Also with Gypsy getting out we needed to reinforce our kennels again to make it a little harder for her to dig out. Brent was tearing down a fence and getting rid of some railroad ties so we went over to his property to get some. We brought home 8 ties.
Our kennels originally looked like this, with the brush truck parked where that back gate is sitting. The two girls kennels were next to each other with shooters on the side. I got to looking and decided it would look better if we put all the kennels in a row. It would free up a little more of the yard.
So we cut down a few of the little trees there. Moved the stuff out of Shooters kennel and worked on moving it to the north closer to Rue. Then took Gypsy's kennel with the reinforced panels and moved it to the south.
We had to cut and measure ties to like each one of the kennels with on the inside
All the kennels are now lined with railroad ties and in a nice line along the fence. We just need to get one more dog house since Gypsy will be in her own kennel now and we will be set.

Unca Chris and Ry had to clean up the brownie bowl
