Chad was promoted to Lieutenant!

Kandace and Tera planned him a surprise party..

It was almost a surprise but it was kinda ruined

Still turned out really good though!

Lots of people were there

The weather was nice so everyone just kind of hung outside

Redneck Birthday

Zacks birthday was on the 17th

For those of you who dont know he is a self proclaimed Redneck

I put him together a Redneck Party Kit

Some of this will need some explaining

Some of it is just hilarious!

Every present Zack has ever given me has been wrapped in duct tape

So of course this had to be!

The 6 pack of beer had "You might be a redneck" jokes written all over it

Splatter targets for the zombie apocalypse

A cooler with an America Flag tapped to it

Zack used to have American Flags on the back of his lifted Ford.. that had a redneck sticker on it

I found a cool thing on pinterest.. its an open ended wrench with part of the end cut off

We took his favorite beer and redecorated it

Zack also was up at the wildland fire training

I gave him his presents there

It was just too fitting that he was in wildland clothes when he opened it and sleeping in a tent

Yes he loved it

He said that it was one of the coolest gifts ever!

Bear Lake

Chris and his dad Todd had to go to a fire training up in Bear Lake at Rendezvous Beach for a Wild land class

We went up Thursday after fishing to spend the night

Todd and Jana (Chris's step mom) pulled their camper up there

Kennedy and I drove our car

Chris had to take a brush truck up

We found our camp site and started a fire for the night

It was so nice just hanging out

Listening to the geese

Chris's uncle and cousin were also up there and a bunch of other firemen

The next morning they had to get up early for class

The whole campsite was full of firemen just for the training

Engines and brush trucks every where

I wish I would have been able to get more pictures of them but the weather sucked

It was cold and rainy

Plus they trained in a canyon a ways away

We stayed in the camper all day with Jana

Kennedy colored, watched tv, drew pictures, played with her toys

Finally there was a little break in the weather and we took a walk out to the beach so she could run off some energy

She still kept begging to go swimming

The rain started back up and we went back inside

A few hours later it stopped again and we went for walk

She was having so much fun running and splashing in every puddle

She hit every single puddle all around the park

The guys came back from a long day training, finding fires, hiking, using GPS's and doing scenarios

They had about a 30 minute break and they had to go back for a night class from 530-10

Kennedy and I headed out about 6 to come back home

They sounded like they had a fun class

After that they had to be back at 6 am for more training

It was a two day class so thats why most of them camped up there

On the way down I stopped on a car upside down in the river

It had flipped and was on its roof pretty submerged

The truck that had stopped infront of me had gotten the driver out of the car about 5 minutes before I stopped

He was ok just cold and shaken!

Rockport Fishing

Thursday before we left to Bear Lake

Kennedy, my dad, me and my grandpa all got to go fishing together to Grandpas favorite spot at Rockport

I was so excited that Kennedy was able to go fish with both Grandpas

She wouldnt stay out of the water good thing I always bring her extra clothes

I swear this kid never ever gets cold!

She had a stick and was fishing while she was waiting

Dad kept throwing rocks around her and made her think they were fish jumping

Dads pole was the first one to catch a fish

Kennedy got to bring it in 

Normal Grandpa, Kennedy and their fish

She kept calling him Normal Grandpa since there was Grandpa and Great Grandpa

Oh yeah and she wont keep shoes on

Poor girl has nothing and doesnt get to do anything fun in life

Kickin back in her chair.. with a drink and snacks enjoying the sun while hanging out with her family

It makes me smile seeing Kennedy reeling in a fish with both Grandpas helping

My first fish I caught

They are rainbow trout and had a nice green tint to them

She soaked her clothes of course

I thought I'd packed her a shirt but didnt so she got to wear my extra hoody while her shirt dried on the rocks

All this fishing wore her out

Or maybe getting up early did too

She crashed on the rocks

I made her a little pillow from a hoody and covered her up

I ended up having to take a backpack and make a little tent to keep the sun off of her

She slept for a good hour like this at least

We caught 8 fish total

The smallest being 15 inches and the biggest ones were 17 inches

4 generations of fishermen

LOVE IT

What a wonderful day to get to spend with my dad, grandpa and daughter being outside enjoying the outdoors!

Plus getting a few nice trout that Dad smoked!
