Easter

This year for Easter I had to work and so did Kennedy's dad so she went with my family down to my Grandparents for Easter

My work ended up needing me to come in early so I was able to leave early and head down to see the family for a minute

Grandma and Grandpa Barton had all kinds of delicious food waiting, an egg hunt for the kids and cute baskets full of fun toys for them!

They always put on a great Easter!

It was nice to be able to see family we hadnt seen in a while

Also we celebrated my Grandpas B day

Kennedy had so much fun playing she was OUT cold on the way home

When we got home it was time for our Easter

The EB had came and hid eggs all over the house!

Kennedy got a cute piggy bank to decorate and start saving change in

EB some how knew and filled a bunch of the eggs with change!

A few new shirts, some new crocks, princess bubbles and some treats

EB also decorated her new bike!

A princess basket to keep her stuff in, princess tassels and a bell!

She wanted a bell so bad

We went for our nightly bike ride around town

Kennedy has such a hard time focusing while shes pedaling

I swear I may never let her drive

She kept stopping so she could wave to all these little boys who were outside and ring her bell at them

Come on!??! Already!?? Shes only 4

Peanut had a good Easter and even with her nap was all tuckered out!

I found her like this the next morning when I went to wake her

Baby Animal Days

Every year Hailey and I plan to go to baby animal days in Wellsville

Every year the weather sucks on the day we're able to go

This year was no different but we decided too bad and we were going anyways!!

It was snowing when we go up there so we headed to Chik fil A for lunch

By the time we were done eating it had stopped snowing for a minute

So we headed over!

It ended up working out pretty well

It was a little cold and snowed on and off but it kept a ton of people away so it wasnt too packed!

There were so many things to do

A lot we didnt do because of the weather but we still had a lot of fun!

We rode the mini train around

Saw a cute little foal

Played in a barn

Kennedy LOVED the baby goats

These goats were nibbling on this lady and Kennedy walked up to her and said

"Dont worry I'll take care of this" and she started trying to pull the goats off of her

She told the lady with the stroller that was being eaten the same thing

I was really surprised Kennedy wasnt afraid of any of the animals

She loved getting into the pens with them and petting them

She chased the goats all over the place

Oh and the baby lambs were so so sweet!

We need one!

They had baby bears from Bear World there

I wanted to hold one SO bad but they wouldn't let you

I did get to hold this adorable little bear though

Kennedy knew that this was a milk cow and was laughing as it licked on my pants

The piglets were so stinkin cute!

Kennedy kept talking about how they looked like Wilbur in Charlotte's Web

Despite the cold snowy weather it was SO worth it!

We had fun and got to see such cute babies!

Kennedys New Bike

Kennedy has never had a bicycle before

She was too young

and then where we spent the last year living really didnt have much space for her to ride at

but now that we're in our town home shes got a lot more places to ride and play!

I decided it was time for a bike

She had been riding Kinlies while it was at our house

I thought about getting her one for Easter but my mom made a good point

She said the Easter Bunny isn't Santa you know

So today Kennedy and I went to the store

I didnt tell her why we were going there

We walked into the bike section and I let her ride a few as usual

See what one fit her the best

She found a little friend and they were riding together lol

I let her ride it around for a while and then told her to ride it to the check stand so we could pay for it

You should have seen her face!!!

She was so excited!

I let her ride her bike through the store

Cute older ladies kept stopping her asking her if she was getting a new bike and telling her how lucky she was

She rode it all the way out to the car and it sat in the back seat with her

Dang kid is growing up so fast!

Eggs and bike rides

Oh Utah weather!

On Sunday it was cold and snowing

Monday was cold but sunny

We ran into Elysha and Parker at walmart

Kennedy jumped ship and went to play with Parker for a while

When she got home we colored Easter eggs

She was so excited

Kennedy's with her dad for Easter and this was the only night I didn't work that we could do it on

Kennedy and all the eggs we colored

This weekend was also full of bike rides

Kinlie left her bike at our place and Kennedy made good use of it

This was her first real bike riding adventure

Im not sure if Im ready for this!!!

She was trying to run me over and laughing

And the next day before I went to work we had to go for another ride

Kinlie has since gotten her bike and I'm afraid the Easter bunny is going to have to bring Kennedy one

She keeps asking if EB will bring her a Barbie one with a backseat for her babies to ride in and a basket

Of course she wants the most expensive one!!

She told me she was going to ride her bike on the highway from Perry to Hailey's house (in North Ogden)

I told her that was way too far for her little legs to pedal

Her reply

"Not for a daughter of Jessica!!"

Oh man..

Shes a little determined

Week Catchup

Its been a busy week full of working

I cant wait for shift change next week to be back to 4 days a week instead of 5

It really makes such a big difference!!!!

Kennedy and Parker have had a chance to play a lot lately

They are so cute when they get together

They were playing cops and this was the jail

Two fortunes in one cookie have got to be good luck right!??

Hmm do people enjoy me because Im going to inherit money and they want some!??

Kennedy and I had a girls night the other night

She wanted more marshmallows in her hair

We painted her toenails and fingernails

Had some strawberries and watched a movie

Zack made a lottery run yesterday

A bunch of us threw in some cash together on the mega million

Yes I know what the odds of winning are

I also know what the odds are if I don't have a ticket!

The line wrapped around the chevron and through the parking lot and down the street!

They stood in line for 2 1/2 hours!!!

Kennedy and Parker were living it up today while I'm at work

Playin on the wheeler

Blowing bubbles

Some rock climbing

Some sliding

Kennedy cracks me up

She still is coming up with just random things

I let her sleep in my bed the other night

We were laying there and she sits up

K: Mom

M: Yes Kennedy

K: Can I have cut up strawberries and bananas with a glass of apple juice for breakfast in the morning?
M: Sure. But you have to go to sleep first

K: Ok I love you good night

A few min later she sits back up

K: Mom

M:What Kennedy

K: Did you lock the door downstairs? The top lock and the bottom?

M: Yes...

K: Ok good

I asked her if she wanted the Easter Bunny to bring her a bicycle

She said no

She wants a Dora Motorcycle

I said well honey you already have a dirt bike

Wouldn't you want a bicycle to ride?

She said No mom I want a Dora motorcycle so I can ride on the road with you and we can go on trips

I tried to explain to her that she cant drive a motorcycle on the road until shes 16

She wasn't buying it

I reminded her again she already had a dirt bike and she said "but mom dirt bikes are for dirt! I cant ride it on the road with you!"
