Our garden just hasnt done as well this year as it did last. Our squash and pumpkins were doing really well.. then in like 3 days they died and were gone.
The rest of our plants are doing good though. We are just starting to get tomatoes.
Chris and I had to go down and unload the horse trailer from the flat bed. Rod wants to weld it and fix it. We had a tough time getting it to come all the way off and ended up having to get the tractor and hook a chain to it to get it off.
Friday night after we did the control burn at the bay Chris and I ran home, changed our clothes and headed out to the trap club. Kennedy had to go to my moms that morning while Chris helped with a control burn. Liz stole her from there and took her to her house for a sleep over so the kids could be in the Wheat and Beet parade in Garland, so it was just us two!
His friend Colton was getting married Saturday and for the pre wedding party they had a big dinner at the trap club and then shooting after. They served Chicago style hot dogs with all the fixings you can imagine and potato salads. It was so good! After we stuffed ourselves we went out to shoot. The first round Chris and I were super close. He beat me barely. The second round he whooped me. My shoulder was dying!
Then they started playing. Shooting different games.
And whats a pre wedding party with out throwing the groom in a disgusting pond..
Kennedy got to be in the Wheat and Beet parade. The Fire Marshalls office was in the parade.. so Dad was in one truck, Mom, Liz, Klint and Koree in another and K got to ride with my dads secretary and throw candy. She loved it!
Her and Liz took this picture and I cant get over how much Kennedy and Liz look alike!
This weekend we spent our freetime cutting and stacking wood. Our backyard is a mess!
This is how we do rainy days at our house. K is curled up with 3 books on the couch and a blankie
