Thursday morning I had to be at Weber State early for an Active Shooter training.
WSU was hosting this big training session including several police agencies, hospitals and ems that would respond if there was an incident there. We actually dispatch for WSU after hours and they needed some help dispatching the scenario so two of us went up there.
We were stationed in the MobCom (mobile command) in the A1 parking lot.
The WSU dispatcher was to handle the police radio, we were to assist with resources and I was manning the fire channel. We didnt have computers that linked to our CAD system so we had to do everything by pen and paper
They ran several different scenarios from hearing shots fired, to shooting in a building, to having an active shooter they had to take out, and having 2 active shooters where one escapes.
It was a pretty busy morning!
They actually even transported to the hospitals so they could drill on triage and being flooded with injuries from a mass incident. There were news crews there following officers and SWAT around filming and taking pictures. This is where everything was set up where we were at

They only needed us for a few hours and were running drills all day long
They actually ended up putting a few explosions inside this home and blowing it up (its part of WSU and had been condemned)
Rough way to spend the day off making overtime! :) I love some of the perks that come with the job! Some of the opportunities are just awesome.

That afternoon was spent cleaning and organizing the house
I was having a Scentsy party there that night.
JaNeale was done with work early and came up to visit with Del Taco
Her and Kennedy hung out and worked on going through Kennedy's toys and clothes upstairs.
I was even able to go on a call with her there.
Elysha Lou and Lil Miss came over to visit before the party. They wanted to come by but not stay long.. you know 2 week old baby and all. So I got to snuggle little miss for a while. Chris came home. Pager went off and he was out the door. 2 leaps across the lawn and he was gone. Elysha turned around and couldn't figure out where he went. ( That was 4 calls in a 24 hour period!!!)

The party went well. I was so tired by the time it was over! Thanks to all those who came and ordered!
