Our awesome neighbor decorates his front yard up to the extreme every year. Kennedy had been begging to see scary Halloween decorations. Chris came in one night and told us to get our shoes and jackets on he had a surprise for us. We took Kennedy up to Doug and Marys. They love for people to stop. They even have a sign out front telling everyone to get out of a closer look.
There are a few scary surprises in there and Kennedy was instantly bawling and scared.
We explained to her it wasnt real. They were just decorations and dolls. Chris was showing her how funny everything was because how can a skeleton ride a bicycle? They have no muscles? She started to think it was funny and wanted to go back through the 2nd time. It still scared her just not as bad.
The very next night she said she HAD to go back to see if she was still scared because she knew it wasn't real so we did. She loved it. She didnt jump or get scared or cry. She spent forever looking at all the details and wants to go back every night lol
I had a bad day at work. One of those days that you go home and hug your kids extra tight... I couldn't wait to get home to see her. I pull in the driveway and shes out back swinging with all her kids.
This week both sets of parents went to Denver for the Broncos Vs 49ers game. Mom, Dad and Todd are Broncos fans and Jana is a die hard niners. They had been waiting forever for them to play each other. It was their first football game so they road tripped to Denver and had a blast!
They had to show their team spirit! Liz made them mowhawk beanies since it was the Sunday night game in case it got cold.
They had killer seats and loved it!
The same morning we got home from the deer hunt we went out duck hunting that night.
Rue loves to go out. She spends most the time sleeping in the boat.
We missed 4 ducks. No clue how because two of them were super close. We had fun though.
The water was like glass
On the way back out we saw 3 bucks. Two 2pts and one 3pt
Kennedy has been keeping our front walkway and back porch covered in Halloween art
