Our club hosted a Formal Invitational this weekend
We didn't have time to shoot it on Saturday (and I work Sunday)
I volunteered to go out and help set up even thought I wasn't going to shoot. Todd just had foot surgery so I went to supervise and be his muscles. Hes VP so he kind of has to be at the events. This was the first time we've hosted the formal INDOORS. We met at the storage sheds at 6 am and started loading all the supplies. From there we headed out to the arena in Tremonton where we just had the Golden spike indoor at.
The adults are shooting 60 yards first and then moving down to 50 and 40. The kids are starting at 50, 30, or 20 yards depending on how old they are BUT they needed to be lined up with the adults at the 60 yard line so that everyone shooting at once is in the same line so they are all safe. It takes a minute to get it all figured out!
This is how it all comes together (minus about 2 targets on the left that you cant see)
after we got the course set up we had one more thing to accomplish
All the Christmas trees from the 3D shoot were piled by the airport not far away. We set them out to dry and needed to burn them :)
Everyone went over and helped put them in a big pile
Bears Butt got to shoot a fuzzie gun into the pile. The first one went over and the second one under. Theres not really an easy way to aim one of those guns.
So Todd and I had to light it by hand dang it!
The trees went FAST
We watched the fire, filled Dads brush truck up with water and then we headed home. It was time for Todd to put up his foot and take a nap! He was exhausted.
