Oh Peach Days how we love and hate you!
Saturday morning started off bright and early! Chris headed off to the Brigham Fire Dept at 5 am for the Firemans Association Breakfast. Kennedy, Mom and I headed there around 8:30. I had NEVER been to the breakfast before but Chris was cooking so I figured I should go :) pancakes, eggs, and ham. We sat with Chris's mom and her mom, Ash, Derek,Ry, Hunter and Chris's dad and Jana. After breakfast we picked up Parker and Elysha. We dropped Parker off at the station with Kennedy so they could ride on the fire truck in the parade with him. To say they were excited was an understatement.
Danes side of the family always reserves a large spot for the parade and they were nice enough to let us come sit with them this year. I got to snuggle Macee Moo. The weather started out over cast and then turned to sunny
We were towards the end of the parade
then it went back to over cast, then to sunny again. Elysha brought Kents donuts for everyone
The parade started and it was back to over cast
It was pretty cool to see a TANK driving down main street
Chris's brother Hunter is with Taylorsville JROTC color guard and carried the American Flag in the parade
JaNeale got this cute picture of Kennedy and Parker in the bucket on the truck when they passed her
Here comes our kids!
and there is my cute hubby on the back of the truck waving to us
and Willards engine
Then the rain started.. and stopped.. and it got sunny.. then it started raining again! We all huddled under the umbrella. It was actually kind of chilly
Kennedy, Chris and Parker walked back up to where we were at to sit with us for the rest of the parade
Kennedy busting a move...
After the parade Chris and I walked back to the fire station and mom took the kids in the car
We were all going to meet at the car show but Elysha had to make a little pit stop. Dang breast feeding babies lol! So Chris and I had a minute to ourselves and walked around. I had never been to the car show before. It was HUGE!!!! This was maybe a 1/4 of the show. It covered two parks and the road between them
Here is Chris looking at my dream car.. '69 Chevelle Malibu...one day I will have one. It will be fire engine red with black interior and a motor that shakes the ground!
Kennedy met up with us and we went to get a SCUBA burger. Its a tradition. We ate with JaNeale, Ash, Derek, Jimmy and Zola. Then we wandered around to see the booths and met up with Todd, Jana, Hunter, Elysha and Parker. Kennedy really wanted her face painted so we put her down on the list.
Her pretty pink sparkly butterfly
Miss Ry has these boys wrapped around her little fingers! She was SO done with all the excitement of the day.. and she is at that age where shes really starting to exert her independence.. she HAD to walk.. and she had to hold all 3 of their hands while she did
After all the fun and excitement we went home. Chris and Kennedy took a nap. I made some carne asada tacos for dinner. Just as we were getting ready to leave Peach Days Willard was paged to a roll over on the freeway. Chris was so bummed he missed it. As we sat down to dinner Chris said Im not going to eat yet Im just going to wash my hands because we are going to get paged out. I laughed and as he started fixing his plate the pager went off and he was out the door.. to go rescue a cat.. from a heater vent in a trailer park. Oh you can IMAGINE the jokes that went with that one for the night!!!
