Wednesday we made brats! We had 15lbs left over of deer meat we needed to finish off.
They turned out amazing!
Then we vacuum sealed them into packages
Also came up with an idea I cant believe its taken me this long to think of! Normally when we made summer sausage we vacuum seal the entire big piece.. which is a pain. You have to defrost the whole thing if you want any and store a big ol stick of it. And if you give any away all you have is a big ol stick of it. 30 lbs of meat only makes 7 sticks.. Well DUH! Lets cut it up into smaller pieces and seal it into 'snack size' bags
Much better! Easier to share.. easier to store!
