Bright and early Saturday morning while Chris was out plowing (surprise!) We had to go gather 300 Christmas trees from Robinson Tree Farm in the Shopko parking lot in Ogden. They were done for the selling season and donated the remaining trees to the archery club for the upcoming shoot in February. It was cold and wet and snowy. Kennedy, Jana, Liz and I stayed in the truck for a while and let all the guys work. There were so many of them and only so much space. So we listened to Christmas music and kept the heater going! We turn around and mom is dragging this tree towards us. She found a little Christmas tree she thought was so cute.
We got ALL the trees loaded up. We ended up helping about half way through once they had cleared out some space so we could help. They were SO heavy. He said the trees were really dry when they brought them down. Then we had those storms and they sucked up the water so fast. We had 3 trailers full. We also had a flatbed truck packed and it was pulling a dump trailer. We made a convoy and headed to Willard to drop them off on some property. We unloaded the first trailer. Some of the trucks got stuck.

We tried to dump the dump trailer because the truck got stuck a little bit. It was a dually and it had bald tires! The trees were so packed in there once the dump bed was up the trees wouldnt come out!

Dads truck pulling the guys 5500 truck full of trees AND with a full dump trailer
Even after we pulled it a little bit the trees wouldnt slide out
We had to start pulling them out one by one waiting for it to slide

Finally the dump trailer was unloaded. Then we had to unload the flatbed. We started pulling out the 2x4's that were holding the trees in. We were waiting for all the trees to roll off once the supports were gone. Once again they didnt just slide off lol! They were stuck on there!
They had to push the trees up to get the boards to slide off
Even with all the supports gone the trees stayed up
Finally they were able to pull a few off and we were waiting for the big crash. It was totally anticlimactic and didnt happen!
We let Kennedy stay in the truck so that she was warm and dry.
She was out cold. Something about Grandpas backseat makes her fall asleep.. or the fact she was up til midnight the night before and I got her up at 0600 ha!
After the tree hauling the club took all the workers out to Moores for breakfast/lunch. I love their food so much! It was so yummy! Kennedy was so cute and lovey. She kept telling me how happy she was I was her mom and how much she loved me. I asked her if she was being good because it was almost Christmas.. make sure Santa knows shes being good. She said "Christmas is all about love and family and being together" I gave her that look and she said "well being in the nice list is a small part of it, but the first reason I told you is the real reason."
Chris was finally done around noon and came up to meet us. After that we had to run some errands and stopped at Smith and Edwards.
Santa was there
THE SANTA
He was the sweetest cutest Santa ever if you cant tell by the look on Kennedy's face
After we left Smith and Edwards we had to stop at the post office. Lo and behold Santa pulls up in an old Toyota Carolla. Kennedy said "Look mom! Its Santa!! .. but why is he in a car???" He was dressed similarly enough to the Santa we jut saw that she didnt notice they looked any different. We told her Santa has to drive a car when hes in town running errands. Its not very practical to drive his reindeer everywhere. They would get tired and they cost a lot to feed. That seemed to pacify her.
That evening was Zola (JaNeales mom)'s Christmas party. The Tucker Family Party in Brigham at a church. This was the first time I had met a lot of people on JaNeales side of the family. We had dinner and then someone special showed up. Guess who? We have to make it 3 sightings in one day!
Thats right the big S.C. You can see how excited Kennedy was to see him again! This is her 6th time seeing Santa this year and each time is just as great to her as the time before. Her little face just lights up! I wish I could just bottle up all that love and excitement and wonder.
He came in bringing presents for everyone. You had to sit on his lap and tell him what you wanted for Christmas. I told him I wanted the winning lottery ticket. He told me well there are a lot of winning tickets. I said I have two in my purse. One of those two needs to be it lol! I knew who Santa was. He is from Willard and I guess he is their Santa every year so he was surprised to see Kennedy and I there.
Rylee was NOT loving Santa. She glared at him and refused to go anywhere near him. You'd ask her to come sit on your lap and she would look at you, look at Santa and say "nope!"
Of course Kennedy couldn't contain herself until it was her turn.
He brought her a present (with mom and dads help lol) She was SO happy
A Sleeping Beauty Barbie!
Rylee went up with Derek when it was her turn. She was stuck to daddy that night. She looked at Santa and finally warmed up to him
Someone tried to tell Santa he had been a good boy...hmmm not sure on that one he might be on the Naughty List
When it was Rylees turn Santa held out her present to her and thats all it took to bring her in. She wanted that present.
Kennedy went with her to show her it wasnt scary.
The kids helped Santa jingle his bells and they sang Christmas songs together.
Once they opened the presents that was it. The three little girls were down on the floor playing with the dolls.

Next we played Left Right with presents
Chris was practicing his basketball skills
Miss Ry was cheesing it up for me!
Then we played a version of Bunco.. but it was not the whole long game. It was a faster version that made it easier.

See this boy is on the naughty list!!!! Group pictures were just not working. Kennedy was itchy from running all over the place so shes scratching in each picture.. Chris is well.. Chris..
Then the selfies began...
