Group of fires

Weve had a few fires lately but theyve all been pretty small
Late night freeway fire
We were sent out west to the Sunset Pass fire. I got to IC trainee this one too
Chad was teasing me he felt left out that he wasnt getting in on any of the fire selfies so we took one
Later that week we had a combine fire

 and another freeway fire

This is the all girl crew that rolled in the engine with me driving.

Fireplace project

The same day we went to Hardware, not long after we got home, Mike stopped by to start working on our fireplace. We were pretty excited. We had the supplies and were just waiting for him to have the time.
Chris really wanted to help him with it and learn how to do it. We put the mantle in first.
 and then the mesh
Mike layed out the floor rock
Chris helped him by making all the cuts and chipping the rock

 First nights completed work
The next day he was back to start mudding

Where we stopped for the night
He came by a few days later to finish it all up

We really really love how it turned out! We cant wait to wash it and put the fireplace in

Ride to the Cabin

The day after I left Weber Chris decided we needed a family day. He took the day off work and we all headed to the mountains. We parked at Hardware, checked on the cabin, drove over to Bear Lake for burgers and shakes. It was a perfect day!!!
Ive missed this view so much!!!

Life Changes

The end of July was a big milestone for me. I left my job at Weber Dispatch. It was time for a change. I was very unhappy there for a while.  A lot had changed and it just wasnt the same. I thought about it for quite a long time and finally decided that it was time to go for it. It was not an easy decision. I spent 13 years there. That was pretty much my entire adult life. I accepted a job at Box Elder Dispatch and honestly it was one of the best decisions of my life. I was so scared about it but I LOVE BOX ELDER!
My last day made me cry. It was hard to say goodbye to people I had known for so long.
Erica brought me my favorite Fiiz drink. We bonded when I first trained her over Dr Pepper and she hooked me on Peperladas from Fiiz.

Karen made sure I had not just one but TWO Costco cakes. They were both AMAZING!!!!
Penny taped me to my chair twice...

and Eck brought me my favorite donut.

They made it really hard to leave.

They all joke at work that I am a shit magnet.. well because its true. My last day we had a plane crash that was a quadruple fatal.
My last day was also our first full day in the new center. I thought it was kind of fitting that it was the same time they were tearing out our old center.
