Sawing logs and kids archery

Weve been crazy busy lately. We finished up a project or two and were driving past Zacks old house that his sister lives in now. They were out front cutting down some big trees with tiny chainsaws... We went and got our chainsaws and trailer and helped them out. They even let us take the wood from it! Of course no one got any pictures of me sawing for over an hour haha. But heres one of the boys almost at the end.
Macee and Parker came over to play. Macee LOVES "Cwish" aka Chris and gets so shy and flirty when she sees him. She kept yelling "Cwish! Cwish! Play ball!" so they played ball for hours.
I tried a new release and shot my highest score of 289. I think I like the new style release.
Kennedy had her final night of archery class. She did so good! I told her if she hit 5 balloons then I'd take her out for ice cream. Shes never hit more than 2 before. Her and Ashlynn with their first popped balloons
This is probably her favorite way to shoot.
Half way through the class it was lap time. They lined up shortest to tallest

Some of the taller kids were slacking so Mom started chasing

Kennedy popped 3 balloons. Then her and Ashlynn kind of tagged teamed one. Kennedy hit it with 2 arrows but didnt pop it. She pinned it in place and Ashlynn hit it and popped it. I told her Id give her half credit on that one since they tag teamed it :) She had 3 more ballons she hit the side of but didnt pop.
They did one more round and she didnt pop any balloons. That left her with 3 1/2 balloons. They decided they had a little more time left and she put all her focus into it and popped the last balloon. I told her since she did so awesome and shot 4 1/2 I would give her half credit for the 3 other balloons she hit but didnt pop. I know Im a sucker but she was trying so hard and putting so much effort into it I couldnt help it.
Her and her shooting bff Ashlynn with their ribbons. These girls did AWESOME! Kennedy invited her out to ice cream with us and it made their entire night!
We went to Yogurt Factory where the girls got Hello Kitty popsicles and us moms got frozen yogurt. They talked and giggled and told jokes and were so sad when it was time to go home!
Weve had some decent weather and we went for a walk while K rode her scooter.

Saturday Snowmobiling

Saturday the 3 of us went snowmobiling. Kennedy was so excited. She loves snowmobiling but was a little nervous because she was riding with Chris this time. It worked out so much better having her ride with him instead of me!
We have had so much inversion lately it was so nice to get to clear skies. We left our house just after 8 am.
There was a good 4 feet of snow. The skies were clear, it was almost 40 degrees. We unloaded at the parking lot in  Hardware and headed up towards the cabin.

We stopped at the cabin and played for a little bit. Chris has been sick so we 'rested' and enjoyed the sunshine. After a few minutes he said "Im going to see if I can still play like I used to" and took off up the hills. He made it about 5 minutes before he was exhausted and came back to sit in the sun.

 Kennedy made snow angels

and I went and played. It was so hot I didnt even have my coat on. I was in just my hoodie.

 Kennedy had some snow treats
We headed over to go 'around the block' like we do in the summer and stopped at the flat to play.
 Chris

We headed over towards elk valley and found a few spots to play. The snow was perfect. The weather was perfect. It was just a good day! We climbed some hills.

and I rolled my sled at the top of one of the hills ha! I went to turn around and hit a soft pocket and rolled. Chris was at the bottom of the hill and I scared the hell out of him. All he saw was my sled go upside down and couldn't see me. He threw K off his sled and had her wait at the bottom of the hill and flew up to me. I was laughing when he got to me. I was standing in the snow and had a good 2 feet below me still. It was that deep. I told him I needed a picture of this. I needed him to help me roll it over so I didnt roll it all the way down the hill and we were good to go!

We rode around some more and explored new areas

Then we stopped for lunch. We made sandwiches and had chips and swiss rolls.
Seriously look at these skies! It was gorgeous.

We started making our way slowly back towards the truck. We had to be home kind of early. Chris was on call for work (he has been 2 weeks in a row) and his boss offered to cover for a few hours so we could go play for Valentines day.

Chris and Kennedy climbing a hill

Kennedy was wiped out by the time we got back to the truck. It didnt take her long before she was asleep!
It was such a perfect day and a great Valentines present! Thank you so much honey!

Pre Valentines

Weve been working on making our side by side street legal. Its been a pain and we've spent a bunch of freezing nights in the garage like this!
Kennedy got another x in archery
We also had the pre-valentines day madness of making a box and putting together all her valentines
Her box turned out super cute and super simple.
We did our Valentines day presents early this year. I told Chris I wanted to go snowmobiling for my 'present' I like things that we do together a lot more than just getting something.
Friday we loaded up the sleds. We have been so socked in with inversion lately its disgusting. This is at 11 in the afternoon. You can see how nasty it is.
I gave Chris is presents on Friday. Some more Firemans Mustache wax, some treats, a card and a shirt. There is quite a story when he was younger about how he got a wooden spoon broken over his butt.
I told K to close her eyes and she would get her present. She did and I walked out empty handed and said "you get to go snowmobiling with us tomorrow (which she already knew she was going)" and she looked at me for a min like is shes serious.. and then said ok!
I made her closer her eyes again and then went into the bedroom and brought out her new camo hoodie, a box of chocolates and a new bow case. Her other bow case had all the zippers break out and its SO HARD to find one that fits a little bow like hers. We found this at Bass Pro in Vegas. She was so excited about the case!
