SCBA Obstacle course

This Tuesday for drill we had a really fun exercise. Todd had a little obstacle course and relay race set up. We put on all our gear, our SCBA tanks and actually went on air.
The first go round we were in teams of 2 we chose. We had to grab a roll of hose, carry it to the chairs
Then we had to take off our packs and crawl through the tunnels one at a time.
Next you had to step over two pallets.
Then get to the downed 'firefighter' call over the radio you found the patient, load the patient, notify command the patient was loaded and you were headed out with them. You had to get the dummy into the stokes basket and then drag it across the floor to the next station.
The last challenge with your gloves on and in full gear still you had to take a water bottle cap off, pour your bottle into a cup and put the lid back on and tighten it.
Once that was done you were done.
After everyone had a chance to go through the course once we drew numbers and were randomly assigned teams. Then it was timed and it was a race. There was no running and you had to still work as a team. You couldnt leave your partner, if they had problems putting their scba back on or making it through the tunnel or whatever you had to wait and help them.
The race was actually a lot of fun. The teams finished the course in under 2 minutes!
Its such a tight fit you have to take off your pack and push it ahead of you in the slippery tunnel

This was Sheris first time ever putting on air or going through a tunnel and she did awesome!

Things may have gotten a little crazy. Taylor dove head first into the tunnel and smacked his face shield on it and broke it in half. He doesnt have good luck with helmets!

8th Birthday and Baptism

My little peanut turned 8 this year.
I just cant believe it. I swear not long ago she was a little chubby cheeked baby!!
8 years of birthdays!!
She took cupcakes to school on Friday.
Saturday morning which was her birthday Tammy and Steve took her to breakfast with Grandpa Ken (Tammys step dad) at Cracker Barrel.  We picked up her cake. Went and got her birthday boots and then got her ready for her baptism!
She has been wanting to get baptized for 2 years now. She goes to church every Sunday with Tammy. The missionaries even came and gave her the discussions (because they were completely bored and needed people to teach haha)
She has been so excited and waiting so long to turn 8
Of course she got a special dress just for the occasion! Grandpa Roy was able to baptize and confirm her.
Here we are before the dunk

Grandpa Todd, Daddy, and Great Grandpa Roy
 all changed and ready!

She had so many people there! Aunt Kathy gave the opening prayer. Grandma Kathy gave a talk on baptism. Uncle Danny and Rod Mund were witnesses. Kris Zobell gave a talk on the Holy Ghost and Grandma Tammy gave the closing prayer. It was a really nice baptism. Someone (who didnt know us all) made the comment wholly cow there are a lot of people in that room for her baptism. Chris turned to them and said "Yeah and thats all immediate family! There are only 3 or 4 people who are friends!" ha they didnt know what to think.
After the baptism we went and change clothes and went to Todd and Janas her birthday dinner.
Kennedy loves my 'special nachos' which really is like a taco salad.. so we cooked a bunch of taco meat before hand and just let it stay warm in the crock pot and had a big taco bar. Hard shells, soft shells, taco chips... If you wanted it we had it!
Briggs was loving the food.. and his Pepsi
.

 Birthday girl and Rybug
 No trick candles this time!
We had cake and ice cream, Uncle Derek gave her birthday spankins
and then she was dying to open her baptism and birthday presents.
She got some really neat gifts and she took the time to read every card first and out loud to us all.

She had a great birthday and baptism! She is one loved little girl! Thank you so much to everyone who came to support her. It mean the world!!

Birthday with the Brimberrys

Friday night the Tammy, Steve and Taylor wanted to take us all out to Bellas for Ks birthday. Mostly so she could get to wear the birthday hat and she gets a free fried ice cream. Kennedy loves going to Bellas on her bday.
After that we went back to their house for presents and treats. Tammy had made these amazing desserts. One was cookie on the bottom, Reeses in the middle and brownies on top. The other one was cookie on the bottom, oreos, cream cheese filling and then cookie on top. They were so good!!
We sang her Happy Birthday and she was dancing while we sang
Then they had a little surprise for her.. I wish I would have known because I would have video'd it.
They bought her trick candles.

She could not figure out why she would blow them out for a second and then just when they looked like they were all out they'd flare back up.

Finally she got them all out... and they stayed out
 Then it was into presents!
She got her 16th Monster High doll from Taylor.. Yes 16.. she has way too many!

Tammy and Steve got her this cool scooter snowboard sled thing. Its like a snowboard with a scooter handle and you can use it as both in the snow. She started out in the front yard on flat ground and then we took it to the backyard where there was a tiny bit of a hill. She wanted Taylor to try it first..
He hopped on and took a big push off..
and then he fell. I wish I had a picture of him hitting the ground!!!
I had to show them how it was done and made it to the bottom. Then K did it
and then daddy had to have a turn also

She is so spoiled and loved! She had a great pre birthday!
