The Pages concrete pad

Friday after I was 2 hours late getting home we hurried and rushed to get down to JaNeales house before rush hour traffic hit. We ended up being stuck in horrible traffic from accidents between Roy and Kaysville. Kennedy was out before we even got on the freeway. She was snoring and I have no idea how she slept like that.
We finally made it. Derek and Ash were only 10 minutes behind us. We ate dinner and it was too dark to go out and do much work. The boys pretty much had everything done anyways. The next morning the cement truck was supposed to be there at 8:30. We got up and had donuts for breakfast. Chris went to look at the forms to make sure everything was still good.
They build these the last time they went down.

While we were waiting Grandma had bought a TON of Easter eggs and filled them with goodies for the kids. They also had Easter baskets too. We had told Kennedy we were celebrating Easter that morning and she was complaining about having to get up early. I told her Jesus got up early on Easter so she could too. She didnt find it near as funny as I did.
We hid all the eggs in JaNeales front yard and across the street in her neighbor Stacey's yard. Right as we started the hunt the cement truck showed up. I handed JaNeale my phone to take picts and went to help with the concrete.

 The kids were spoiled!
We on the other hand were hard at work.

We got to the point there really wasnt too much for us (the girls) to do so I went and got some baby time for a minute
I was sitting inside lovin on the baby and watching Ry and Kennedy so Ash could go outside when I heard Chris yell "JESSICA!" So I go outside thinking somethings wrong and he says he wants me to come out and socialize with him ..aka hand him tools

We had it all poured, maged, and broomed by about noon. We started pouring about 9 and it was 4 1/2 pour yards. It was hot outside with a slight breeze and it started setting up super fast, a little too fast in some parts. After that we had burgers on the grill and left over snacks from yesterday. We sat out and enjoyed the nice hot sun.
Rylee and Kennedy pretty much spent the entire day watching their new Tinkerbell moving and playing with their new play dough
The finished product. The stairs look crooked but I promise they arent. We thought they were and got the level out.

Walking home, Airbags, Shooting with Tiffany and Ride along

Sunday after dinner Kennedy was talking about she was just going to walk home. I told her go right ahead. We live like 6 blocks from Todd and Janas and its pretty much a straight shot. She kept saying "Im gonna do it! Im gonna!" I told her go for it. So she started out and we secretly watched her from the window. She made it to their mailbox by taking baby steps and came running back scared. I told her she could do it and she set her determined little face on and took off. I watched her out the window until I couldn't see her anymore. Chris drove past and she told him nope Im waiting for mom! So as soon as I couldnt see her anymore I got in the car and caught up to her. She told me she wasnt getting in she wanted to walk home. So I paced her with the car like the paranoid mom I am. She was laughing and we were singing songs. She kept telling me to drive off and she would walk home on her own but I just couldnt let her. She walked the entire way home and was so proud of herself!
Wednesday morning when I got out of the shower before work I walked into the kitchen and saw this. Chris wanted Sweet jalapeno chicken enchiladas for dinner so he got out everything for me to throw together.

One night this week between class and fire drill and work we had to go over to Todds and help him put his new airbags and compressor on his truck. His old airbags just werent heavy duty enough to pull his camper. (Suspension airbags not inside impact airbags for those of you confused) We started about 6:30 that night. Pulled off his old bags, installed a toolbox and figured out how to put the new ones on. The old ones you just filled up with the compressor. The new ones came with a compressor we had to install and wire into the truck. It was quite a time consuming process. They wanted almost $600 to install them from the dealer and they charge extra on labor for this because its a pain. We said hell we can do that!
Kennedy made it until about 8:30 and she fell asleep on the couch in the shop covered with Grandpas coat and a blanket. She slept through air tools, the radio, us talking, hammering and everything else.
We finally finished it at 11pm that night. We couldn't stop because we both had work and school Thursday and he needed his truck Friday.

We have had such nice weather lately! Miss K was outside shooting her bow at her new target for the first time.
 She was pretty dang excited!

Thursday after class we went and took a tour of the Weber County Jail. Our class is taught at the Weber County Sheriffs office. This pict is from the internet. We of course couldn't take cameras or cell phones into the jail. It was 9:00 at night when we went in. It was dark and stinky and scary to be completely honest. They gave us a tour of all the areas including the medical area. A lot of the inmates were still up and lights were on. We were in a glass hallway that had tinted glass so they couldn't really see us they said. We also weren't allowed to be in any areas were inmates were 'freely' walking. So when we went into booking we had to wait until they were put in the booking cells before we could walk in.  It was slightly claustrophobic being in each area with locked doors knowing you cant get out unless they let you out. It was very interesting though to see how it worked and what the inside of a jail really looked like!
Friday from 9am to 3pm I went and did a ride along with Ogden Fire Ambulance for part of my class. Since I was the 3rd person I had to ride in the back. We did some stuff around the station and were sent on an auto ped. Transported to the hospital then they had to go take a pt test. From there we went to the gym and worked out about 10 minutes for we were paged on an accident that refused medical. Headed back to the station for lunch
When stations have ride alongs.. aka people who really want to go on calls and see fun stuff... they have nothing happen. Its kind of an unspoken rule. Choas seems to take a pause just to not let fun stuff happen. They were very slow that day.
About 30 minutes before it was time to go home we had to do a transfer to Layton. The transfer took a while and I got back to the station to get into my car at 5pm. It really was a fun ride along even though we didnt get much and the guys I rode with were super nice.

Proof he doesnt hate trampolines

Saturday after we got home from his moms and took a nap we decided it was time to do somethings around our house. We took Gypsys staples out and her leg bandage off. We cleaned out the chicken coop and then it was time to put the stinking net on the trampoline. We had been avoiding this because we knew it was going to be a pain in the ass.. and it was
HOWEVER as soon we got it finished "Mr I hate trampolines and its just gonna take up space in the backyard and Kennedy will break her arm on it" wanted to play on the trampoline. I had to take pictures because no one would believe me.
Our selfie as he rocket launches me in the air
 Kennedy started taking picts then.
HES SMILING AND LAUGHING
I swear he really does just not when he knows there is a camera around
Proof he doesnt hate trampolines

Then we let miss K play....

Kennedys school program

Kennedy's class has been practicing for their upcoming program. She came home Wednesday from school with this. It was the first one she has earned.
They had THREE FREAKING programs to do on Thursday. One at 9:20 one at 2:20 and then one at 6 that evening. The only one I was able to make it to was the 2:20 one. Todd, Jana and my Mom all went to the 6pm one.
They all had certain colors to wear. Kennedys was red.
Bet you cant guess which one she is....
They sang a bunch of songs about safety and wearing seat belts and not drinking or doing drugs.
Afterwards her they did a class picture. Come to find out AFTER all this she tells me they took a picture because it is her #1 very best friends last day at school. Their family is moving to West Virgina.
