3rd Annual Be a Girl- Shoot for a Cure

This year was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best year so far.
We had TWO bows for raffle. The first one Brigham Bowmen donated.
The next one Full Draw Archery donated to us
Each bow is worth aprox $1,000 a piece.

We had best dressed trophy's for each shooting line
Tshirts for sale and super sweet raffle prizes that were donated to us.

We had 5 shooting lines that day.
9 o'clock line
11 o'clock
1 o'clock
3 o'clock
 5 o'clock
Each line also had a best dressed winner. Chris was so excited he won in his line
I missed a pict of the 11 oclock winner but it was the guy in the pink wig. We called him Katy Perry.

1 o'clock was the crew from Full Draw. They awarded it to the whole group
3 o'clock was Bucky. This guy is pretty awesome. He rocked his heels way too well. He has came to almost all of our shoots clear from Idaho!
and the 5 oclock winner was Curtis. He was super ecstatic. He put a lot of effort into his outfit and was wearing lipstick by the end of the day.
Our cute little family of girls. It was so hard getting 3 girls ready in one bathroom..

Dad wanted in on that ....

Chico even wore a dress and had a pink blanket
Bears Butt from Bearsbutt.com made a special appearance. He doesn't shoot (yet!) but his son and grand kids do. Hes a great supporter of our club and he came all dressed up just to support us!

We had a friend stop by just to buy some raffle tickets and say hi. Mom and Dad taught her how to shoot a bow

Kennedy got to help run the line with Curtis. She loved it. You have to shoot off whistle commands. Two whistles to step to the line. One to shoot. Three whistles to mean the line is clear and you can go get your arrows. She has learned the commands in her class and was pretty on top of it!

This kid was pretty awesome! If you cant tell he has Down Syndrome. He and his mom are in the adult class on Wednesday nights. It just goes to show you that archery really is a great sport for anyone! He learned to shoot just ONE WEEK ago and look at his form!

Chris and Taylor only stayed to shoot their line and then they left. They had to go do something manly and go duck hunting.  Kennedy and I stayed there ALL DAY long helping out. I didnt shoot until the 3 oclock line because they were all so full so Chris wasnt there for the best part of the shoot...
This was his score
and this was mine :)
Thats right I beat him!

Things got a little out of control. Men dressed as women can only behave so long. It was hilarious to listen to them complain about their hair, nails, boobs, bras, heels etc. Chris couldn't handle the underwire or hair in his face or how cold he was. Todd swore up and down Jana is only allowed to buy the best nicest most expensive bras after this. No more cheap ones because they hurt. Dads feet were killing him from the heels and he was already dreading having to take off his nails because how they would hurt. The guys were self conscious about if they looked fat in dresses or not. Their boobs were in the way when they tried to do anything? How the hell are you supposed to pee in a dress???? Why dont my pantyhose stay up! I get them set and they move all around.
Even if it was only for a day it was well worth it!!!!!!!!

There was a reporter and photographer from the Standard Examiner at the shoot. Our shoot made the Sunday paper, Standard online and had its own gallery!

Recognize this sexy little redhead. These pict are all from the Standards website

 Tyson
This guy named Jaxon was awesome. He shot 4 lines! He also was the big winner of the pink bow!

We also had a reporter from the Tremonton Leader. They submitted these two pictures with the headline "Why is the Box Elder County Fire Marshall and President of Brigham Bowmen wearing flowing tresses and donning heels?"
and they had this pict of the 3 sisters
We had such great support, sponsors and shooters! We coudnt have done it with out all the hard work and effort everyone put into it. This year we raised $3500 to donate!!! That is a THOUSAND dollars more than last year.
