Pink Heals

WARNING!!!

THIS POST CONTAINS LOTS AND LOTS OF PINK!!!

My work helped sponsor a cancer awareness event called Pink Heals.(official website)

They had all kinds of stuff to go do and promote cancer awareness.

Our work bought all of the employees who wanted one the Pink Heals(blog) shirts for our area and we were allowed to wear them to work in support.

The best part is the proceeds that they get are given back to the community in the area.

Kennedy was SO excited to go. I'd told her about it the day before.

How they would have pink fire trucks

 She said "MOM!!! Pink is my FAVORITE!"

I told her how they had pink cotton candy

She said "MOM!!! Pink cotton candy is my FAVORITE!"

I woke her up in the morning to go.

I layed my head down on the pillow next to her and she looked at me all serious and said

"Mom don't go back to sleep! We have to get up and go see my favorite color! And find lady who has the pink cotton candy and ask her if I can have some!"

The actual event was at RC Willey in Riverdale.

The firetruck they had there was pretty neat. It was COVERED in signatures all around from those affected by cancer.

Really whats a blog post with out one of these picts of Hailey!??!

They had a safe kids trailer there where the little ones could go inside and learn about safety around the home.

They had one part where the room fills with fake smoke and they discuss how what to do.

I was so proud of Kennedy!

 They showed them once what to do and he asked her ok what do you do if there is a fire?

She said get low. She got onto her hands and knees

Crawled to the door.

Touched the door with the BACK of her hand

And said nope its hot I cant go that way!

Kennedy kept starring at herself in the chrome.

It was hilarious!

She kept making faces and talking to herself

It seriously entertained her for a good 15 min

Afterward we went to Chik fil A

Great ending to a great day!

Fishing Round 2

Kennedy and I had a little time to kill before I had to go to work

We ran up to the spillway to try fishing again.

No luck.

Not even a bite!

But she had a blast!

Yeah Mom I know I'm dirty!

And I love it!

I always joke that Kennedy has her moms attention span.

She does.

And for the most part I dont really have a long one.

If Im really really interested in something I can...

But Im the first to admit Im easily distracted...

While we were fishing Kennedy was playing all around.

She cant hold still either

She wanted to hold her pole

Then she didnt

Then she wanted to hold it

Then she wanted to play in the water

Then she was catching alligators

I was trying to talk to her about how to hold her pole and sit still and wait for a fish to tug on the line..

Well as Im talking.. Im mid sentance..

She blurts out..

..

MOM!!!!!! I SEE SOMETHING SHINY!!!!

Yep.. shes got my attention span

Parkers 3rd Bday

Parker is 3!

We arrived at his house and the first thing he said when he opened the door was..

"Kennnenndy! Its my birthday NOT yours! Sing Happy Birthday Parker to me!!"

He was a little excited!

I FORGOT MY CAMERA! Go figure.. and forgot to take any picts really so your stuck with all camera phone...

He was so excited he kept asking Elysha ALL day if he could just blow out his candles.

He's only 3 but he said 3 wasn't enough on his cake.

He wanted ones he could blow out and then some for his friends too.

So she put on 2 groups of 3.

He was a little defensive of his cake

They giggled and giggled and laughed so hard

Kennedys Hair

For Kennedy having so little hair the first part of her life its finally started to really grow!

She has so much curl in her hair its almost impossible to make straight but doesnt curl a ton all on its own

SO I decided to diffuse it like I do my hair with just a little mousse..

She looks so much older I think!!

I had to buy her a bunch of new summer clothes because shes outgrown all she had before.

She picked out this Rapunzel shirt she really wanted.

When she put it on she looked down and said

"Mom!! This shirt looks really good on me!!"

All those curls!

And its long enough to braid..

I attempted to french braid it at first..

Have you ever french braided a 3 year olds hair!??!

Especially one that CANNOT hold still to save herself!
