Primary Childrens Shoot

Once again it was time for the annual Primary Childrens Shoot fundraiser. This is one of my favorites! And just like every single year it was supposed to rain. Chris and I didnt take our camper up because we thought maybe if we didnt the weather would be good ha!

We set the course up Friday night. Saturday morning it was pouring rain and windy. We ran some errands and the weather finally let up. We headed to the range to go shoot.

We had a few target changes this year and they were pretty awesome

We had great sun shine weather

Then it started to get windy.. and dark.. and rainy. We were getting rained on but it wasnt too bad.

Then the crazy hard hitting hail started. We only had 2 more targets before we had the lower course finished so we kept going. We were getting pelted and soaked.  If you look close you can see the hail hitting Chris's shirt.

 Raining like crazy

We were dying at this point. We didnt even care how we shot, just to get the arrows flying so we could run to the trucks and campers. It started really coming down HARD
Everyone came running in soaked off the course. About five minutes later the skies cleared up and the sun came out!
So we went out to finish the top half. Jana shot a few targets with us but the trail was so muddy and slick she opted to go back and wait for us.

Can you see the target across the ravine?
I seriously LOVE our course. Its been around since 1955!!. Weve done some improvements and added some stairs

If you look very close and hard you can see the next target through the trees

We tried to make the course a little more difficult this year and it was great!!! After we shot we hung out at camp for a while and played games. The Wards brought this African game and Ashley taught Jana, Chris and I how to play. It was so fun!

There also was a washers game going next to us

 and Kennedy..who knows lol!

 Getting some Grandpa love in

We got tired of beating them.. 3 times in a row to be exact... so Kolt and Rachel played against them and beat them too haha

I didnt go up Sunday because I had to work. The weather was pretty good and a lot more shooters came out. I ended up taking 1st place in my class.. Chris took 3rd.. My dad took 1st and so did my mom in theirs and Todd took 2nd.
BUT the most important part is our club was able to write a donation check for $4500 to Primary Childrens!!!!! Way to go Brigham Bowmen!
