Building a playground: Part 1

This whole last week we have been building a playground. The city told the fire dept if we build the playground they would give us the money they were going to pay a contractor so we can get some MUCH NEEDED bunker gear. Chris has spent pretty much every night. They had to hand dig all the holes for the posts and figure out all the layout and coordinates to dig the holes in. I was shocked at how much went into it! Then once they had the holes and everything figured out we worked on assembling it. I HATE puzzles and assembling things with directions ha and these directions SUCKED. A LOT.
 There are ssssssssooooooooooooooo many pieces

Jana was the direction reader. We also went and got McDonalds for everyone.

The first pieces going in the holes

It was freezing ass cold. Freezing. My hands kept going numb.

We were missing a few parts and a few pieces were broken so we have a few holes in the roller slide.

Sunday we were there bright and early again. At least we had better weather than the day before!

We brought Rue and Kennedys scooter. It got pretty hot so I helped her take Rue for a swim. This dog loves to swim. I have never seen a dog swim laps just for fun but she did!

Its hard digging and full of rocks!

Finally late Sunday afternoon we called it quits. Rue and Kennedy were just chilling in the car. This was the first time Id put the car cover in the back of my car and put Rue in it. I wasnt sure if she would get in and she did.

When we got home she wouldnt get out of the car. I actually had to drag her out!
Later that night we took Teal back up to go swim with Rue. Chris was going to do a little more work on the playground. Todd, Jana, Roy and Kathy came with us. Teal wasnt sure about the deep water. She had never been in water like that before.
After a while of watching Rue swim in it she got more comfortable.

and at this point the pagers went off for a grass fire. So we had to grab the dogs and run to the trucks to go home to get the brush trucks!
