Coldwater Canyon Hike

Monday after we got home from East Canyon Amanda and I had planned a hike. She had a fun trail she wanted to take me on and I was hoping we would hit over 5 miles. I was still feeling like poop but I overdosed on Sudafed, Vitamin water and Cliff bars and headed for the trail.
The weather said it was supposed to have scattered rain storms from 8-10 and we were meeting at 8. The skies were pretty dark to the north west of us but we lucked out and it didnt hit. The weather was PERFECT.
 The trail was awesome!

We made it up the first leg of switchbacks and the first hard climb. You can see Im sweating my butt off! Yeah we started down there where it was flat...

We thankfully didnt need our jackets at all!

The trail was cool but once we hit Coldwater Canyon it was breath taking!! I had no idea it was so pretty in there.

She said she has never seen the creek like this before. Its normally just a trickle. Look how muddy it is, you know its just a rushing down!

Once we crossed the creek the trail got even cooler. We were in pines.

The hike was just over 6.5 miles! Took us just 2 .5 hours.

This trail looks awesome! Seems like a good one for a cloudy day, not a lot of shade until you hit the canyon?

There isnt a lot of shade until youre in the canyon so its a great early morning hike or cloudy day one. We are still 50s and 60s here so a sunny day is wonderful too!
