Haileys last day, Power pole, Retrieving and archery

Two weeks ago Hailey quit work. She had 9 years in and got a new job being a teacher at a new charter school that is opening. We all 4 met at work and now Im the only one left! We went out to dinner to celebrate her last day!
My little world right here! She cracks me up. We had a day of shopping and getting the car washed. She made sure she had her purse full of books and toys to keep her entertained.
The girls love it when we get irrigation. They saw it flowing and came a running
Sarita had an amazing recipe for salsa and I had to make it. It was so simple.
2 cans diced tomatoes with chilies
1 can crushed pineapple
green onions
cilantro
and 2 mangoes
Its one of my new favorites!
Just as I was finishing up dinner and waiting for Chris to get home we got paged to a grass fire. It ended up being a pole that the cross member caught on fire and started a grass fire.
We happened to be the first truck on scene and got it taken care of. However since we were the first truck that meant we had to stay and wait for Rocky Mountain Power. They were on another call in Ogden and would be a while. I was STARVING. My littles were eating my bigs (Its a saying we use in our house to mean our little intestines are so hungry theyre eating our big intestines ha)
You can see we had flame still but you cant spray water on live lines like that.  You just have to watch it burn until the pieces fall and then put them out. We waited over 2 hours before the power company got on scene. Right as they were pulling up we got dispatched to another call. We asked if they needed us and they said no so we took off.

Rues getting excited for duck season. Shes been getting some schooling on retrieving.

This is our nights. Im looking for mountain goats on the mountain and Chris is studying fire maps for Box Elder County.

Kennedys been doing great with her bike riding. Weve been practicing and she can now start all on her own. Chris was down installing some lights at Tammy and Steves house for them. K rode down to Grandmas house to show her how she can ride.
Saturday night her and I got out our bows and had some Mom Daughter shooting time in the backyard. She was doing really good!
A few weeks ago Tammy made us some Nutella rice krispy treats. Chris ate them all and I didnt get to try any. Kennedy called him a rice krispy hog and left him a note on the counter to stop eating them all haha. So this time Tammy made us some and gave us our own individual bags  :)
I got to see Chris's office the other day. I was so surprised to see at his desk right next to his computer hes got K's picture. It was so sweet. Hes such a good dad to her!
Its that time again! Time to start getting ready for the elk hunt! The last 2 weeks Ive had hunting fever so bad!
