After the deer hunt Friday morning we went home for a little bit and then went out to see if we could get some ducks! Taylor came with us and we went out to Public. We were THE ONLY people there. With rifle hunt opening the next morning everyone was off camping. It was so nice!!!

K has her own spot under the blind. She layed on Rues platform and had some snacks.
This is how she spent half the time
She made a fishing pole from a spent shell and some weeds and was trying to catch the tadpoles
Taylor dropped the first duck. Rue was more than happy to go get it. She really loves duck hunting.
Public is a no swan hunting zone.. and of course we had a nice big flock of low flyers come over us. Chris could have easily dropped one but instead we had to watch them fly by.
Then I got the next duck. Rue was on it. She would sniff the decoys as she went past to make sure they weren't the real ducks and retrieved this one all on her own with Chris staying in the boat. I was so proud of her!

Chris dropped the next duck and then it was dark and time to go home!
