Thursday morning Chris took off work. We went on a little Thursday morning duck hunt date while the kid was in school. It was nice just the two of us. We set up early and the ducks were flying like crazy. Swooping in on us and circling our blind. Of course shooting hours hadnt opened yet. We counted down the minutes because if this kept up it was going to be a great hunt! About 5 minutes before shooting hours the birds started going sky high. From then on out they were miles up or a ways away. We didnt even fire a single shot.
It was still fun though freezing to death in the blind. We gave it til 10 and hadnt shot anything so we gathered up the decoys and headed in.
It was nice to get to spend some time together. Usually from Tuesday morning until Friday the only times we see each other is when we are waking up getting ready for work in the morning and then again when its time to crawl into bed for the night.
