Wind Caves

Friday morning Hailey and I went on a hike to the Wind Caves in Logan Canyon. I had never been there before but she had. We loaded Rue and Raleigh into her car and took off. Raleigh wanted nothing to do with Rue and Rue just didnt understand because she is just a big teddy bear. We got to the parking lot and were ready to take off when Hailey couldn't find her keys..Thankfully we found them before we left!

You climb over 900 feet in elevation in about 1.3 miles. It was about 1.7 miles to the cave.
We started out with jackets on but that didnt last long. Between the steep climb and a high of 66 degrees that day we were shedding clothes pretty fast.

 Rue and I
We thought we were going to die only once or twice..we thought the whole hike in was just over 3 miles but when we realized it was just over 3 miles round trip it made it a lot better! The views were amazing!

We were hiking along and could never see the cave at all until we were right on it
This is on top of the cave

 Inside the cave

Some smaller caves on the way back down

I took two bottles of water with us. One for me and one for Rue. I had about a quarter of one and she had the rest! Thankfully Hailey carries a little container for the dogs to drink out of.
After she finished mine that wasnt enough and Hailey shared some of hers with her too.
Rue did so well on the hike. She is so good mannered. People kept stopping and commenting on her and petting her. She loved every second of it.!
Happy puppy!
Poor girl was exhausted by the time we got back and slept on the way home
The hike was a blast! The views were incredible. Im so glad we went!
