AirCare Training

Tuesday night for Advanced class and fire drill we had AirCare come in for a landing zone training for the class and a ropes rescue for drill. They landed by the fire station and did a landing zone class while everyone from the fire dept was up the mountain doing a 'rescue.'
I got to class just as the landing zone fun was over. We talked to AirCare for a while and they were ready on the mountain. A few of us from class went up to see what they were doing and the rest stayed.
Chris and a few others rapelled down a steep hillside to get the 'patient' Doug.
He was packaged and ready to go. They had started an IV on him and put him in the air splint.
AirCare took off from the park and headed up to where we were.

They were landed in the middle of the gravel pit

From there they took the patient and loaded him in the bird and flew him back down to the playground

We left him in there for a minute for some pictures
 and finally let him out
