Fence, Chinese food, fires fires fires and dove hunting

My garden has finally started producing. Those are my first tomatoes!
Last week we built a fence behind the trailer to help keep the dogs in and secure our backyard a little more. We're working piece by piece on it. The ground really doesnt look like it but its on a pretty good slope right there
 Finished fence
Wednesday night everyone gathered for home made Chinese food. Todd and Jana had canned two different types of sweet and sour sauce and they were both amazing! Ash made fried rice and Grandma and Grandpa made egg rolls. It was so good I hurt from eating so much.
We had to take care of my parents turkeys while they were out of town. Those suckers have gotten HUGE!!
We spent A LOT of the weekend like this..
Heres a little breakdown for you
Thursday night Chris and I go on the fire.. I come home he stays the night with his dad.
I go to work Friday and K goes to school.
Chris and Todd come home around 10am and have to do a few errands so they dont get a nap. About 1pm they get paged BACK out to the same fire that was out. There was some heavy wind and a few embers from hot spots caught more on fire.
They get home about 10:30 pm that night. Chris showers and we get into bed. 15 min later the pager goes off for a medical so I go and let him sleep. Chris and Todd get to sleep clear from 11pm to 1am when they get paged to a fire on the mountain in Honeyville. They were supposed to be back out at Blue Creek at 8am... yeah thats not happening. They go from a fire in Honeyville to a fire in Mantua back to Honeyville and who knows where else lol!
They finally get home about 5pm Saturday night. Now if you counted right that's about 3 hours of sleep in 72 hours.
Our boys were tired!
They were able to sleep Saturday night but had to be back out to Blue Creek Sunday morning to repair 6 different sections of barbed wire fence that was cut during the fire. They got home about 4pm Sunday.
With them gone so much that left A LOT of free time for Jana and I. We went to Sams club, lunch at Chilis then K got sick so we went home and cuddled.. I helped her can tomato juice for Todd and we made jalapeno jelly.. I cooked our Sunday dinner...
Thankfully Monday was a holiday! We took a nap.. did some stuff around the house.. he cleaned his fire truck.. irrigated.. just a nice lazy day. We took the side by side out looking for some doves. I swear they had bullet proof vests on, we couldnt bring down any!
We got the duck boat out and ready for the upcoming season thats still and entire month away dang it! Chris's new motor for the boat should be here soon and I cant wait!
That evening we took Todd out dove hunting with us. The boys couldnt hit any birds. We saw a good deal of doves. We saw a nice little buck Kennedy spotted then we ran into a big flock of turkeys.. like 20 turkeys. It was so nice to see them! The population is really doing well!
