Thursday, which was also Chris's real birthday, was our last softball game of the fall season. It was so cold all day long. It was snowing all around us and threatening to snow at the park. Thankfully it held off. Todd, Jana, JaNeale, Jimmy and Hunter came by to cheer us on for the game. We were short players and our pitcher was out .. so I had to pitch.. I HATE pitching lol! We lost the first one and it was COLD!
JaNeale, Jimmy and Hunter stuck around for our second game. We hurried to Taco Time between games for Chris's birthday dinner lol. They had such horrible service we ended up getting our tots to go and we headed back to the field while they stayed to eat. I made everyone camo cupcakes for his birthday and brought them out at the second game. Everyone sang to him
It was cold. We were tired. We had some REALLY BAD calls. The ump was favoring the other team bad on BOTH games. He let them drop the f bomb which is an automatic out for the rest of the game. He made some very obvious safe calls against us as outs. One I hit the ball to second base. It bounced off the GROUND and into the guys glove and he called me out. He said "well I think its out. Im not really sure. I wasnt watching. Well ya.. batters out" He told us he knew who was going on to the finals by the calls he was making... We lost the second game too but its ok because we placed 4th. If we would have won one of our last two games we would have had to play again for a playoff for 3rd.
