Inspiration Peak and Willard Peak

Friday afternoon we decided to take Mindy up Inspiration Point on four wheelers. Mason had been dying to ride a four wheeler and its such a beautiful ride.
Kennedy and Uncle T
 Mindy and Mason
 Shafer came along too!

Miss Peanut was giving Taylor a hard time on the wheeler. He didnt realize how much she liked to go fast. She would reach up in the middle of turns and hit the gas and tell him to go faster. She did it one time and said "come on Taylor!!! Use your horsepower!!!" Another time she told him "Youre driving like you have an infant on here with you not a 6 year old, go faster!!"
Mindy was riding Moms four wheeler and it was leaking some oil. We stopped while the boys investigated it together.
Kennedy and Mason. She has loved having him around!

We were able to show her some mountain goats
The kids just wanted to throw rocks off the top

From there we rode down to another spot to park to hike out to the flag. There is a flag on the middle peak in Willard they put up in July and leave up for the summer. I had never been there before but always wanted to. Taylor knew how to get there so he lead the way. He said its about a mile and a half out to the flag pole. We figured no big deal. A mile and a half shouldn't take too long.

The trails were gorgeous. Absolutely breathtaking and they kept getting better and better the further we went. They were kind of steep though. The kids fought over who got to hold Taylors hand so he got both.

That little mile and half hike took us about an hour and a half to get here because of the inclines and steep sloped trails. It really wasn't horrible.
This is a view from our backyard a while ago of where we hiked to. The flag is at the very top of that peak and is actually visible from our house
The view from the top.
If you look straight down from the rocks pointing out at the bottom of the rope and go to where the houses start thats my parents house. I had my mom stand out on the balcony with binoculars and she waved to us and we waved to her.

When we got there the flag was only connected by the top. The bottom of the flag had came undone by the winds.

Chris decided he needed to fix the flag because thats just how he is
So him and Taylor pulled it down and reconnected it

 Now shes flying right
We headed back out to start our hike down the mountain to the wheelers. It was already after 7
The hike out sucked. We were tired and hot. The kids were tired. Chris piggy backed Mason through part of the pretty steep climb
 Shafer took Kennedy.

We finally made it back to the wheelers. It took over 2 hours to hike out.

We were beat. We rode out in the dark pretty much. We made it back to the trail head at 10. From there we just stopped at McDonalds for dinner and headed home to eat it. Poor Mason was so exhausted he couldn't stay awake from Brigham to home.
Despite the hike it really was a lot of fun! The hike wasnt really that bad we just didnt expect it to be that much. Definitely something I would do again though!
