For Thursday after the coin ceremony he had a base pass
Which meant he wasnt allowed to leave the base
He had to be back into his room at 2000 hrs
We walked over to one of the mini malls on base
He had to get some patches put on a few shirts and a few errands
He wasnt allowed on that part of the base while he was in training
LAFB was really big but they were only allowed to go onto a tiny part of it before that day
They had to carry those flashlights with him at night so they didnt get ran over
They technically were supposed to have them with them at all times
After we got some of his errands done and ate Popeyes chicken at the food court we headed over to see 2 museums on base
While he was in uniform there were actualy some really strict rules they had to abide by
No PDA so no hugging no kissing no hand holding nothing
No chewing gum
No talking on a cell phone and walking
No alcohol
No sunglasses
Zoe loves 'Uncle Dubb' and was his little shadow
She was walking like him and everything else
Kim, Zoe, Kellie, CW, Me and Craig
Mark, Zoe, CW and Kim
CW and his parents
We headed over to another museum for the MP's
We passed a pt field and it was so full of people running and exercising
I guess the colored belts show where they are in pt performance
so everyone knows if you're excelling or sucking
I love his smile in this picture!
He never really smiles for pictures so I have to sneak them!
Coloring pages they were handing out
It made me laugh so I had to take a picture and send it to some of my friends
Texas Sunset
His sister Jackie and her hubby Braun flew in and drove onto base
They had to come into work a day later than everyone else because of work
She was so happy to see him
It was so cute they really are such a close family they all had a hard time with no contact but letters really from him for 8 weeks
After this we headed over for some Smokin Joes bbq
His Aunt Pam (dads sister) and her husband Bruce got into town then and met us at dinner
Pam is a retired Master Sgt in the Air Force and Bruce is a retired Colonel for the Air Force who was a F16 pilot
Lots of military roots in their family!
Several cousins, uncles and aunts that havent been mentioned that were in the service and so was his Grandpa
