Day 3- Alamo and Spurs game

After we ate at the steak house we walked over to The Alamo
There was a navy guy there who was covered in medals and ribbons
They ask those who are retired or active to come to graduation in uniform
HE ASKED to have his picture taken with all the graduates that were there walking around.
Then he took the time to personally shake each one of their hands and gave them a speech that had Jackie and I bawling
He THANKED them for joining and carrying on the tradition of defending this great country that so many have fought and died for
To continue protecting this land that is ours that we have fought for and to make sure it continues on
We ran into him several times and he was such a nice man
They didnt allow any kind of pictures inside the Alamo
It was a very humbling experience to walk through there and just very solemn
The well under the tree
They had the option to stay out late that night if they bough a ticket and attended the Spurs game
It was one of the special events they were allowed to go to
They were able to stay out til 11pm
No one but Jackie and Braun wanted to go so we all left early from the Alamo, went and got ready and went to the game.
Everyone else stayed and explored more of down town San Antonio
Jackie and I both really wanted foam fingers!
Braun was the only one out of the 4 of us that had ever been to a NBA game before
This cracked me up!!
The game was fun
We screamed and yelled and cheered and ate way too much!
Had a blast!
I was so surprised to see how lazy NBA players are!!
I mean take breaks for commercials
Play for like 5 min tops and they're too tired
Little kids play harder and dont make millions of dollars
The Spurs played the Kings so Jimmer was there also
All in all it was a super fun night
We got him back to the barracks with in plenty of time
