252- backyard bliss

As you can tell from the 500 posts Ive done previously the backyard is a big deal to Chris. Especially the irrigation/watering part. He sent me this picture when I was at work and said she might be a little muddy.. she was my irrigation buddy. Well by buddy.. he means he walked outside and found her stomping down all the little retaining walls he made around the grass to help hold the water in and jumping up and down in the puddles. At least she had her swimming suit on.
When I got home I found his boots out front on the sidewalk and followed the sound of feet walking in soggy grass.. Outback I found this
Hes so funny we only have two water turns left and then we are done irrigating for the year. With only having two turns left he's finally sort of came up with a watering plan that makes him happy. Each time the water comes in he changes something else. Does it a little differently trying to figure out exactly what hes going to do to get water every where. Sometimes he has a new toy to use or try. This time he dug a wall all around the grass so it would fill in with water clear around to the west side where it usually doesnt reach
Then he found a small electric sub-pump and hooked it up. Ran a garden hose from there over to the far west end that always gets too dry and let the water flow all over there moving the hose around to get the very corners that the water doesnt normally reach.
I keep telling him we should hold a mud dash in our backyard.. put in a few more obstacles and make people pay to come play in our mud hole like they do in other ones!
Oh and did I mention too that when I came home all the laundry was done.. dishwasher unloaded..Kennedy was bathed and in her pajamas and he had dinner waiting in the oven??? Sometimes I just dont know what to do with him hahah!
Kennedy was super excited because Uncle Zack stopped in to visit too. She was SO happy to see him. They played games (she was making him read her book she made in school with the eyes in the back of his head..)
