Saturday Chris, Kennedy and I went on the first ride to the cabin. The gate is open but we took 4 wheelers anyways to ride around. We parked at the main Hardware parking lot. It was packed! At home it was hot and blue skies. The Hardware parking lot was blue skies and hot too.
By the time we made it to the cabin it was grey skies and cold. We had to grab jackets from the cabin to keep riding.
Then the thunder rolled and the skies got even darker
Then the hail and heavy rain hit
We were soaked.
The skies cleared up some as we headed back towards the truck. We took a little run up Curtis Creek. We saw a bunch of deer and moose.
We made it a ways before the blue skies turned grey again and the thunder started. We headed back to the truck. It was grey skies were we were but nice and sunny at the trailhead again.
We stopped at the Hyrum McDonalds as its tradition. They had remodeled and Kennedy was so excited to get to eat at the barstools
Even though the weather sucked it was nice to get out for the day!
