Chris was able to get Willard fire a car to 'borrow' for extrication training. We will have it for 2 drills. Last nights drill was struts, cribbing and airbags (the lifting kind not the protecting kind)
We lifted the car with the airbags and SCBA tank. Cribbed it. Then hooked up struts to stabilize it. We lifted it again with the struts.
We had 4 new members (3 from Perry and 1 with Willard) there for their first drill night.
We went over all kinds of safety things and different scenarios or ways to lift a car or stabilize it.
We werent going to take off any doors until next week but we couldnt resist. We popped the windows and took off both rear doors.
This one we took off starting at the door handle end
and this door I got to take off starting at the B post end or where the two doors meet.
I cant wait for next week!
