Kennedys 1st Dance Competition

Saturday afternoon Kennedy had her first dance competition. It was at Roy High school. We had a whole list of things they wanted her to bring. She also needed to come with her hair not done so they could do it there. This was my first time ever attending a dance competition. We packed her bag and headed off to the High School
Wholly crap dance competitions are crazy!!!!!! We walk in and there are a TON of people. We each had  to pay $7 to get in. Chris went to save seats with JaNeale, Jimmy and Hunter. I went with Kennedy to get dressed. I didnt have her wear her costume there just in case.. plus it leaves a trail of glitter. Our 'area' was the boys locker room. Outside its freezing and pouring rain. Its about 100 humid degrees in the locker room. We got her dressed and it was onto hair. Her dance teacher worked on it.
She looked so adorable when it was all said and done. The locker room was FULL of dance girls running around. Most were under the age of 10. We took a picture of her in her outfit in the locker room and went out to meet everyone else. She had about 15 minutes before it was time to dance.
 She was beyond excited
I went and sat down with everyone else. I got to see ONE other team start to dance and that was it.
They had told us sit on the east side. The Indian dance group was the one right before Kennedy. They just started their dance. Her dance teacher came over and said they told us wrong they will be facing on the west side. So we packed up our group and ran across the gym and behind the bleachers and found a spot on the west side. Just as we sat down one of our friends text me and said shes wrong its really on the east side. I said are you sure? She said yes so right as the group was about to end and like 40 dances were piled up waiting to go on after Kennedy's group we ran through them back to the east side and grabbed a spot as close to the middle as we could. One girl from their group just didn't show up so the poor little blonde girl out front was kind of lost not having her next to her.

Kennedy actually did really really well! She had the dance memorized and did what she was supposed to.

They danced to Dear Future Husband by Meghan Trainor
We were so proud of her! She looked so stinking cute!
