Day 160- Lazy Sunday

We had been talking to Todd about how much fun bow fishing was
He really wanted to go out so we decided to go out Sunday morning
The thing about Sundays is you have to be there early cause it starts getting packed with people!
We were out there by 630.. it was a little early
The fish were spawning quite a ways out from us
Enough we could see them and they were splashing all over teasin us but too far to shoot at
Then the people started coming and coming
Lil peanut
People lining the shore!
The fish just werent coming in like they had the day before
They werent rising and coming in so close
We thought maybe give them some more time.. get a little more sun..
Still nope!
We had talked it up so much and how they were going crazy.. and nothing
Some guys came along by us
They asked how we were doing and then informed us there was a bow fishing tournament last night at the bay..that went til 2 am...
So the fish had been hunted all night long
Todd and I had a little bet going
He had never bow fished before and I was telling him its a lot harder than it looks
He was feeling cocky the night before and the deal was he had to get a fish with in the first two shots
If he did it I'd buy breakfast.. if not he'd buy
Well here was his first shot..
Thats the only fish that was got that morning
We saw a TON of fish..but they were super spooky.. far out. the water was super murkey from all the boats out wiper fishing..
We did talk to one guy who brought in a nice wiper and is a big time turkey hunter
He makes turkey bone calls from the wings of the birds.. wish I would have known that a few months ago

Afterwards the boys were worn out
Kennedy had her swimsuit under her clothed when we went fishing
She came inside from playing at Todd and Janas and said "mom Im getting all sweaty here (pointing to where her swimming suit top was under her clothes) and here ( where her bottoms were)
I laughed and said "Did you think you were going to pull one over on mom?? If you want to be in your swimming suit just ask"
She said "youre right mom.. youre always on top of things"
Grandma Jana couldnt resist a kid in the swim suit and got out the pool

Us girls sat outside and enjoyed the nice weather while the boys napped
