Day 75- Impatient

Friday the charger for Kennedys wheeler came
Saturday while I was at work the battery finished charging.. and Chris was a little impatient
He wanted to give Kennedy the wheeler so bad now since the battery was charged
His reasoning was it would be easier to clean it up and stuff at the house than where it was hidden at his parents
How could I say no to that :)
So after I got home from work we went over to his parents to surprise her
We put her on the couch with strict instructions to read her books and not look out the windows
She knew she had a surprise coming
We hooked up the main battery, replaced the sound batteries, cleaned it up some and took it outside
We didnt have a blindfold so we used a kitchen towel and a hair clip ha!
We led her outside
Turned her around JUST in case she was peeking
She ripped off the blindfold and turned around
We got several seconds of complete silence and just disbelief stare
Then she realized it was hers and jumped on to check it out

We decided to go around the block and let her ride it
Shes never really driven anything like this on her own before
Mom was kind of a paranoid mess
Dad kept laughing at me
He was holding my hand as we walked and if she was going too fast.. or drifted one way.. or took her hands off or anything I jumped a little and squeezed his hand ha!
I told him just the walk around the block was going to give me a heart attack
This little wheeler has some power and she was flying
We didnt have her helmet because it was in the trailer.. and I think for moms sake shes going to wear it
We went around the block once and stopped at his neighbors house where they were out working on a few wheelers
Chris was talking to him as his one son rode his wheeler around the yard
I glanced back at Kennedy who was parked and found her like this
Watching the boy..
sigh..
..
This was her first trip around the block..
as you can see she was a little fearless
She would no hands
or stand up
She tried to drive it up a snowbank and laughed the whole time
We taught her how to turn and she was practically spinning donuts in the church parking lot all leaned off her seat like she is supposed to

We made a few circles around the block and then it was too cold
We took the wheeler home and Chris decided he needed to look it over
You know guy stuff
See how this works..
see if this can go faster..
see what this does
I sat back and giggled at these boys who couldnt wait to play with a little girls pink four wheeler
Needless to say Kennedys in love!
She asked me if she could start riding it to school
