Day 181- Miners Park and Camp

Sunday morning we started out for an early ride to the town of Marysvale and into Miners Park
Mom, Dad, Chris and Hunter all had to head home Sunday afternoon because they all had things going on Monday they couldnt miss.. you know work.. drs appts.. stuff like that
Those who didnt wear helmets looked like bank robbers the whole time with their bandannas because of the dust

That town is a wheeling town
They allow it down the streets and even have a special speed limit posted for wheelers
Its part of the Piute Trail
The Piute trail is HUGE
Ive always wanted to ride the whole thing
We started up another trail into the Miners Park
Its an old abandoned mining town
We got this family shot.. and then Chris left ha!
It was the one picture I wanted
Him, Derek and Hunter had to go off and find the other half of our group
Somehow mom, greg, landon, gregs kids, and a few others didnt make it to the park
They took some turn off and ended up half way up the mountain
They caught up to Landon and turned him around and sent him back
Finally they found the others

I was trying to explain to Kennedy the 'olden' days when things like this were used.. you know no electricity times. The closest she could relate it to was Indians. So the whole lesson revolved around Indians
Mom what did Indians use for money? Where did Indians put their mailboxes? What do you mean they didnt have mail!? How did they get their letters!?
She was convinced this chain was an old Indian swing..so I just agreed and let her believe that
Us girlies
Todd and Jana
Mike and Trish goofing off

Kathy reading the sign to Kennedy

She signed her name in the log book

Finally Mom and the other group made their way back
They had a whole five minutes to look around before it was time go to

Mom and Dad
We started to do group pictures
This one was done and then we went onto the WHOLE group picture
Kennedy started saying her tummy hurt
Then right as the timers started to go off on the cameras she started throwing up...
I think she was just hot and maybe got a little car sick riding in the Razor
So her and I walked down to the creek
Gave her some water and a granola bar to munch on
We stuck her feet in the creek to cool her off
She was looking a little less green here
After that it was time to hurry back to get them home
Dad, Mom, Me, Chris, Kennedy, Ash, Derek, Hunter and Ry headed back to camp
I had Kennedy ride with Grandma Jana on the back in case she needed to puke
She did great and was just fine
Talking non stop once we got back to camp
We got them all packed up
Everyone else went on a LONG ride for all afternoon and into the evening
They came back to camp and we hung out while we waited for them to get ready for dinner
Kennedy ran around with my camera taking pictures
Greg and Debbie
Grandpa Roy
Grandpa Todd and Grandma Jana
She of course had to get one of her and Rylee
Rylee follows Kennedy around like she is her big sister and Kennedy acts just like she is
They are pretty much inseparable
Rylee wasn not a happy little girl when Kennedy rode with Grandma and not with her in the Razor
She yelled the whole time

Grandma Kathy

That evening we went to Hoovers Restaurant for dinner
HORRIBLE
We let them know in advance we had a big group coming in
We had a table of 8 come in the same time as us.. they were done with their food and out the door before we got any food
We honestly waited an hour and a half for our food.. that came out little pieces at a time.. and cold..
and they fed the kids LAST
they were the very last plates to come out
Ridiculous
Ry was so unhappy and hungry we all took turns trying to entertain and pacify her
She loves the camera on the phone so she took 1200 shots of her and Kennedy like this
