Day 187-East Canyon archery range and pool

Saturday morning we (Chris, Kennedy, Todd, Jana, Mom and I) all headed up to East Canyon to meet with Dad and a bunch of other people
Dad, Chris and Todd planned to cut in a new archery range with chain saws and start making a course
Me, Jana, Kennedy and Mom planned to play at the pool while the boys worked
The twins, Parker and Kyle were going to meet us there
We pulled into the parking lot and there was this ADORABLE SWEET dog sitting the bed of a truck
He had sunglasses rubber banded around his chin
He posed and smiled for pictures
No kidding
He even bent down so Parker could pet him
I swear he was more human than dog!
Bad news was #1 when we got there it was 64 degrees and over cast
Bad news #2 the power had gone out and both the pools were closed...
So we took the guys up to the archery range so we could have the truck and decide what our plans were
This is where the range is at

Kennedy and I went for a walk down the trail
She said "I love this mom! its just like hunting!"
The boys got their chain saw chaps on and were ready to go

We went back down to see if the pool was open yet
Its been about an hour
The kids are ready to go swim!
I walked down to the main desk to ask them how long til it was open
The power has been back on now for a while
We got to East Canyon about 9:30
Its almost 11 by now
The girl told me the pool wouldnt be open for 4-5 hours because the power went out so the filter stopped running which meant all the chemicals sank to the bottom of the pool so it all needed to be re filtered and would take a while.. um what!??!
They were working on the pool behind the main desk so I asked them how long til that pool was open (there are two pools there) they said about an hour
So we took all the antsy kids to the play ground to play
Grandma swang on the swings with them
We brought plenty of snacks with us so we ate and talked while the kids played
Kinlie played with a caterpillar
We walked over to the main pool and it was open woo!
Elyshas face in this one cracks me up!
It was still over cast and a little cool but the water was warm and it wasnt too bad to play in the water

The kids each took turns jumping into the pool to me
More like jumping on me

We played in the pool for just over an hour and a half before the guys were all done
It was actually perfect
Kyle, Liz, Elysha and Parker had to leave by 2
Me, Kennedy, Chris, Mom, Dad, Todd and Jana stayed there for lunch at the restaurant and then headed home
Here are some pictures of the guys hard work
The had to cut this path all over from one station to the next
and a path to the bags
The work crew minus dad who took the picture
Guys hanging bag bars to hang the bags on for sighting in
Was a long day!
Wore these two right out :)
